Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Plantation

I'm a Marriott Gold Elite Member. My family's Spring Break Fort Lauderdale flight was delayed by 14 hours and didn't arrive until after 0900 the following day. I put updates in the app, but Marriott automatically canceled our 2-night reservation after 12 hours. I called ahead from baggage claim when we landed, and the front desk staff reinstated our reservation but at a different rate than the original price. Exhausted, we showed up, and the assistant general manager, Melinda, took care of us. The room was clean. Breakfast was plentiful and hot. The location is across from Broward Mall.

Stayed on March 23 thru 25th. Breakfast was great variety. Staff in the front desk was never available always had to call out from them and looked like we were bothering them, not friendly I expected that being in florida. We stayed in 2 room suite. The rooms were always hot even when we would bring the AC down too 68. In the room on the right you cab always hear this loud thumb everytime the ac would turn on. What that being said I really did not sleep much. The sofa bed wasnild you can feel all the steel rods once you laid down. My son woke up with a bad back ache. Not a very good experience. As a Marriott member I will not be staying in any residence inn.
