I must admit I was concerned when my bride said we were doing a buffet for our wedding’s rehearsal dinner. My bride was right, both the food and service were outstanding. The highlight for me was a Mediterranean dip that was better than anything I had ever tasted before that night. I highly recommend the Angus Steak House. V/R, Rick Armstead

To whom it may concern: I have always had the pleasure of dining at the Angus when I come home and visit. This is a Pensacola Landmark and the food is prepared to order not like chains where portions are frozen and then served( which is sad that most of the locals seem to support). Everything is made from scratch, fresh and they support local business for food and supplies unlike chains. Not to mention the jobs they have created for the locals! After serving Pensacola for over 30 years there must be a reason why it is still there! My family has been in the restaurant business for many years and has learned over time that you cannot please everyone as we all have different tastes and that's what makes the world go round. I would urge you to always give a restaurant several tries for this reason and that fact that times change and so do menus. I am sure if the owners themselves could serve everyone they would and make sure everyone has great service and etc.. . Sometimes you cannot find out about a bad egg (server) until it is too late. If things are not meet to anyone's expectations, I would urge you to raise awareness to management. If anyone whom reads this and works for a living in any capacity, then you may understand my next comment. Would you want to know if you are not meeting expectations of your clients, patients, companies, your boss and etc...or would you rather have them not say anything and move on?? Communication is key in any type of business. I recently had a surprise party for my father's 70th birthday and we had 30 people and everyone raved about the food and service, it was Excellent! I cannot wait to go back and we are looking forward to it. I live in California and if you have eaten at the top restaurants out here and had a entree that costs you 30 to 60 dollars a la carte and had some 4 oz piece of fish with just drizzle over it, you might then appreciate what you have? From the moment we arrived, we were 'wowed' by good service, great seafood, and awesome cocktails. Our bartender, Ashlyn, made us a delicious Scenic Blue Martini, while we waited for our appetizers. Everything I ate, from their Crab Cakes to their Calamari, was the best I've ever had. The Bistro Tenderloin was exactly as stated on the menu, "lean and juicy" and I loved the veal demi glaze. During desert, Ashlyn made us another delicious cocktail, her own signature drink "Ashlyn's Kiss", which is a perfect after dinner drink. I was impressed with everything we ordered, the ambiance was good, and the service was great. We will definitely return and recommend. I spoke with their General Manager, William Porter, who was very knowledgeable of the entrees and I was impressed with the restaurant using local seafood from local vendors, and fresh produce from a local farmers market. This is a fine dining restaurant, but some menu items are very reasonably priced. There are entrees with a fine dining price, but you definitely get what you pay for. We will be back!
