STAY AWAY from this scam of a company they claim Next Day installs yet they came in to install carpet and didnt show up with baseboards for the job and then they promised they would be installed the next morning after taking payment.. Now I spent all day on the phone no install no accountability and they are acting like its my fault and keep saying read the fine lines in the contract some jobs can take a few days to complete yet there whole sales pitch and premium cost is that they can install next day until they take your payment then there policy changes .. this is the way they left my house .. I will never use or recommend this company to anyone! Service: Install flooring

They sent one installer for the project. He moved furniture then required payment in full before any actual work was done. Who does that? ? Pay with cc so you can dispute the charges if the workmanship or product is shoddy. And he spent much of the time on his phone - causing the work to take 2.5 times longer than it should have. Lastly, the installer completed the Walk-through & Certification of Completion Yes/No questions - without doing any of the things listed!! Would definitely not recommend Empire. These are con artists.
They were not truthful about the nature of the flooring. The sales representative, Jake, told us the flooring could be placed around the whole house. After consulting with other flooring companies, we were told this flooring could NOT be placed in areas such as bathrooms and washrooms.
We called customer service to speak to a supervisor. This person was incredibly rude and called us liars, then proceeded to tell us the flooring was ALMOST waterproof. Who wants that? Also, why was that not communicated during the consultation?
So, we decide to move forward with a cancellation to then find out Jake gave us the wrong cancellation policy. We were told we could cancel the order 24-72 hours prior to installation. We attempted to cancel the installation ONE WEEK in advance and were told no. In fact, he said "We are keeping your money".
So, don't go here. There are MUCH better companies.

This is the second time I have used Empire Flooring. This was the worst experience due to the utter lack of communication and resulting disrespect for my time. The install team was fine, I can not fault them or their work. The product was fine. The financing options varied. The sales to set up install also went well, where we broken down was after they confirmed install date and time. During the time on the install date I received a call notifying me materials for install were unavailable. The key was the timing of this notification. I ARRANGED FOR SOMEONE TO BE AVAILABLE on this date and time. I understand issue with materials can happen, but let me know BEFORE DATE AND TIME of install, and don't confirm it 2 days before. Don't rudely expect me to not be upset and make further accommodations in my life due to your lack of communication. Had they let me know instead of CONFIRMING the date and time we could have avoided alot of problems. Again this is related to communication from the company and their process, not with installer, product, or sales. Ultimately due to this experience my next job will not be thru this company.
