Mccalip & Morales Appraisers

Not knowledgeable of the real estate field. He low balls appraisals. I found better comps than what he used on my own on the property appraisal website under sales.

John Morales was hired on my behalf by BB&T mortgage. I was not asked to approve him. He did not send me a copy though I'm who paid for the appraisal. He was unwilling to change the date of the appointment though I was away dealing with my dad's health issues following bypass surgery. I had to make arrangements for him to meet his deadline. The loan officer sent me a copy of the appraisal. He figured my property value at $120/sq. ft. The similar house across the street had multiple offers in one day at the listed price of $160/sq. ft a few weeks ago. A house in my subdivision had multiple offers, too, and was sold for $178/sq.ft. I emailed Morales about these discrepancies last week and he has not responded. I looked him up and saw on Facebook he is an anti-masker and Pro-Trump conspiracy theorist--not someone I respect. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I will research and tell the next bank that I have the right to approve the appraiser. It certainly will never be this company!!

Poor quality appraisal. Even when provided with detailed info on property, failed to make proper adjustments. Was used by lender as a last option.
