Lulu

This place is normally great as it's part of an experience of walking the neighborhood of coconut grove and all its little shops. It lost a star today because of multiple disappointing points. We had breakfast and the eggs were made with a significant amount of unrequested salt. Also they were dry along with a dry plate of bacon and dry bread. This is unusual for this place. The coffee and service were great though.

Once upon a time Coconut Grove had a good handful of very cozy AND high quality restaurants at the same time. The latest facility to walk away from these attributes, is apparently Lulu in the Grove. The menu with sparkling and original elements are gone, and so is atmosphere and good service too. Sunday morning we sat down at a third-full Lulu, with a serving personal semi-reluctant to serve, we had two half-hearted and not especially tasty omelets, a lukewarm coffee, and a view to the fully occupied Green cafe at the other side of the road with people waiting in line to get a table. We were told new owners had taken over Lulu. Colombians. Okay, I have actually been to Colombia several times and have some very good memories regarding eating out from both Bogota and Medellin. I hope Lulu will improve significantly or it wont survive as the good cafe it once was.
