I took my 1989 Jeep Wrangler 4 cylinder engine to this terrible machine shop. The owner charged me $1,000.00 for the machine work and to put the engine together ( I supplied the parts ) when I picked up the engine I was told it was hard to turn over because it was bored 60 over. I thought that was a bit strange because it’s a 4 cylinder. I put the engine in the Jeep and it was very hard to turn over so I thought it might be the starter, replaced the starter and nothing changed. I called JV machine and he said no warranty and at this point I didn’t trust them anyway. So I took the engine to another machine shop that was recommended by one coworkers. The new machine shop disassembled the engine and said it was the worst rebuild they’ve ever seen. The cylinders were only board to 58,000’s when they should’ve been 60,000’s. When I ask them to split the bill with me and we would call it even and he declined and said I didn’t have proof that he didn’t take him to court.This guy is a complete scam do not use him he’s absolutely terrible. The shop is an absolute mess it’s not organized at all and stuff everywhere. Do not take your engine or anything to this guy he has very very low standards for quality of work and he doesn’t care all he does is try to get the money and wants to be paid in cash and no one can track him very very shady people.
