The crew that painted our house were professional, courteous, and hard workers. They cleaned up after themselves every day (5-1/2 days). We are very satisfied with the exterior painting.

As someone with a second home at the beach, it is quite common to hear refrains from other owners about how hard it is to find reliable, professional contractors to complete maintenance, repairs or property upgrades. Southern Touch was the exception to this truism and I would highly recommend that anyone considering a professional painter put them at the top of the list. They maintain a significant support staff to assist in the smooth operation of the business. I have found this to be unusual in this sector. It shows their understanding that a good service operation drives the customer experience and their willingness to make that investment in people and resources will pay off in the long run even if it creates higher overhead. My request for an estimate was scheduled immediately and the estimator was right on time the day of the appointment. He completed his work the following day and I received a formal estimate from another employee in the office who answered my questions and forwarded the estimate to a business manager who collected my deposit and scheduled the work. The actual work was coordinated by yet a different person in the office who controlled work crews and I was kept informed of arrival dates and crews for each step of the process. When I had a question, I could call the office and be directed to the responsible individual. My questions and concerns were always promptly answered. The work was completed in a timely manner given weather related issues out of their control and the quality and detail of the work was superb. My only regret was that they didn't have the capability to complete a broader set of remodeling needs like bathroom or kitchen remodels. Southern Touch Painting did a fabulous job painting my living room, dining room, staircase, and upstairs hallway. They went above and beyond to transform our living space! They were professional, courteous and thorough with the work. I'm very pleased with how it all turned out.

Unfortunately I found this experience disappointing. Communication is frustrating because the company utilizes a "reply all" method for emails so the client does not have a project manager or go-to person and I spoke with numerous contacts. Our one day project turned into 2.5 days (which I found out about half way through on day one): 2 days for the original project and another couple hours for someone to come back for corrections. After everything was completed, I've found paint splatters on our floor, missed patchwork, poorly done patching (bumpy/rough/unfinished) and some paint inconsistencies. I wish we would have done the work ourselves or left it alone and not repainted, either way I’m upset we spent the money for “professional” painters. The only redeeming part of the experience was the employee Kevin who came out to touch up some of the original work. I wish he would’ve done the entire job in the first place.
