Leasing space from Regus in San Marco turned out to be a headache for the following reasons: Regus violated/breached our contract by moving someone else into the space I was leasing prior to my lease expiring without any notice to me. You can imagine the shock I experienced when used my key to unlock and open the door to find someone else's belongings in a space I had paid for. Upon notice to Regus about it, the response was the space was empty . I had to insist they prorate the rent for that time period...like who expects someone to pay rent for someone else. Needless to say supposedly their "Accounting Department" didn't believe they should have prorated the rent so the center Manager sent me a gift card to recompense for the days someone else was in the space during my lease term. Then they had the audacity to charge me a "Restoration Fee" to restore the space to it's previous condition when I literally entered the space 5 times in 7 months. Once to get the keys, twice to pick up mail, once for a meeting where neither one of us could connect to the WIFI (supposedly included in the rent) and the last time to return the keys. I never set up a desk in the space, nor put or requested them to put anything on the walls, door or floor for them to need to restore it so it was in the same condition they delivered it to me in. Further, because it was in the same condition is why they were lease it again so quickly (during my lease period) and allow someone else to move in early (during my lease period), with no laspe in between the last day of my lease and the first day of the new persons lease. After discussing this with them, they were supposed to credit me for the Restoration Fee which their Center Manager asvised me in writing was done. However they managed to deduct it from my refundable security deposit that took more than 30 days and multiple inquires to get back. Additionally, they collect rent 2-3 weeks before it's due. Ex. Rent for April rent is due March 11-18) and parking while they may validate it for you sometimes, is not free so be prepared to pay for it or park in the hospitals parking garage. BTW the hospital makes it clear at it's garage exit door who parking is not allowed for). Finally and just as concerning as everything else is the fixed monthly rent was not fixed as the bill changed for things such as coffee I never signed up for nor used and increased taxes while no one at Regus could explain why. I could never do that to my customers and based on my experience with this company could never recommend anyone to rent here period! Please read the reviews on social media especially those about issues dealing with billing/money and see their F BBB Rating. BTW the owner could have saved the time replying to this review as the private response to me was basically there is nothing we're going to do to resolve this.
