We had used ICF Building Company Of West Hartford. They owner Mr. Jim Ryan far exceeded our expectations, in terms of professionalism, quality, service and performance. Mr. Ryan, took the time to assist us in setting up our footing and guide us through out the process. I would absolutely recommend ICF Building company Of West Hartford for any project. We are truly grateful to Mr Ryan for making our foundation/ extension an effortless one.

I can only assume the owner of this company is writing these reviews, because the experience I had with this company was a disaster. I had my home built with Jim Ryan (the owner of ICF Construction) and though everything seemed to be ok during construction, it soon turned into a nightmare for me.ICF did most of the work themselves, and only sub-contracted out the electrical, plumbing, and heating work. The roof they installed started leaking in several locations after a few months in the house, and when I finally brought in an outside contractor to fix the problem (Jim Ryan ignored my repeated phone calls and emails about this issue) he also told me that the siding around the windows was not properly installed or sealed and that water was also penetrating into the walls of the house this way!I ended up spending $10,000 to this outside contractor to replace the roof and repair all of the issues with the siding installation. I have filed a complaint with the Connecticut BBB over this matter and am consulting with my attorney to sue Jim Ryan and ICF Construction for damages. I would absolutely NOT recommend this company and would advise you to stay away at all costs, unless you wan to have a similar experience to the one described above.-John C, Murphy

Being a rookie home builder I appreciate the extra effort you made throughout the construction process to explain the science and philosophy of how everything worked, helping me work out details like window and door placements, and all the advise and insight you gave me on the whole process of building an energy efficient long lasting home. My rocky site and unique design (lots of 45 degree angles) created many interesting challenges but you made it all seem easy. In the end I have a foundation water-proofed from underneath with perfectly level and continuous drains inside and out with insulated, water-proofed walls. I am extremely happy with my choice of ICFs and ICF Building Company, I would highly recommend you to anyone wanting to build a house that makes sense.
