i HAVE CALLED AND LEFT THREE MESSAGE THIS WEEK AND ASK FOR AREA MANAGER TO CALL ME. I SPOKE TO ALAN ON 04/12/2023 @2:40PM AND REQUESTED THAT MY DIRECT CELL NUMBER BE GIVEN TO AREA MGR TONYA SO SHE COULD CALL ME. I HAD PREVIOUSLY CALLED ON 04/10/2023 @12:09PM AND THIS IS WHEN THEY STARTED A TICKET#54015. TODAY IS 04/13/2023 AND I HAVENT HEARD FROM NO ONE ON MY CELL PHONE? NO MESSAGES? WHY? I AM REQUESTING CREDIT FOR THE PAST MONTHS OF OVERCHARGING ME, LACK OF SECURITY, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL EMAIL CORPORATE NOW AND PERHAPS SPEAK WITH SOMEONE WHILE I AM WAITING TO HEAR FROM TONYA. I used to like SecurCare until this last time. I will agree that refusing to prorate is stealing. You should not be charged for a unit that is empty. I am planning to leave the 15 of Nov. but my rent will be due the 8th. Figure one week need. When I leave the 15th they will have charged for an entire month and knowing the unit is empty, rent to someone else and charge them for 15 through the 15 therefore getting paid twice (for two of the weeks/approximation). This is what they can and likely are doing. Add to that the latest lady on Vickers in Colorado Springs never works half the time (closes for the day despite business hours), and is randomly mental; I won't do business with them in the future. Let's all reduce what we own and not need storage units!!!

I rented a unit ( SHERRON RD LOCATION DURHAM, NC) for a time to store a friends belongings that I no longer had space for because of an upcoming move. My friend emptied out the unit prior to the end of the month approx 5 days before the next payment was due for another month. Because of miscommunication I made an early payment for another month before finding out the unit was already empty, clean, and the lock removed. Anyway I asked for a refund of the upcoming month because I no longer needed the unit, and made the payment in error. Simple enough to refund someones money when the unit was empty prior to the new month beginning right? Not so, after trying to get a manager on the phone which never happened, I was told by on site workers that they would talk to a regional manager for me in order to get my refund approved. They could never give me a number or email to the person, I always had to leave my info. I never got a call back from anyone. Hard to get anyone beside reservationists on the phone. No corporate number, only people who have no power to issue refunds unless they talk to someone else whom they can't name or give me the number. Shady practices, basically taking my money because of greed, when the unit was empty. I would not rent from these people, ever, businesses should care about customer service, and people is not their specialty. How hard would it have been for them to give my money back? Why would they keep it? They literally had to do nothing, no man power, no electricity, just an empty space, cost them nothing. Even if they deducted the 5 min of pay of the person who had to go check the unit, I would have been fine. I am still going to pursue my money, while letting twitter, facebook, instagram and the world know how shady this business is. People work hard for their money, you should not take it for nothing? Simple human kindness, that is all, I can't come up with a reason to keep someones money in this case.
