Dr. Shaw and his faculty at pediatric west, Littleton location are amazing!! They have only treated us with respect and their team of doctors here are very thorough with what to expect in the next couple month's between visits. Dr. Shaw also has younger children so I love how he can give you advice as a physician and as a parent. All in all, an amazing team of people who actually care.

I have been bringing my kids here for 8 years now and we love them! We usually see Dr. Shaw, but sometimes we see Carol also and they are both great! Larry is one of our favorites as well! All of the doctors and nurses are super friendly. I don't think the newer lady at the front desk is that friendly, but we don't let that take away from the great doctors and nurses that are always helpful!

We started at the practice when my baby was a few days old. We toured when we were pregnant and thought we had a good feel for the place. Unfortunately, once our baby was born, we didnt feel the same. We were not a fan of Dr Shaws bedside manner. We always felt rushed and the way he delivered information was a bit cold. I left the first appointment in tears and panicking when he mentioned seizures from her drop in birthweight (less than 7%). As first time parents it was super stressful to hear and we felt like the situation was much more dire than it was. It set us on a path to feeding our baby donor milk, triple feeding for weeks, and meetings with lactation consultants. After several other doctors agreed that this was an overreaction and not warranted from only a 7% drop, we decided to search for a different pediatrician. We went in a few more times after this and our experience was better but we couldnt get over the bad experience and repercussions from the first visit. We know that everyone is different so some may really like his style and overall bedside manner, we just werent one of them.

I called to let you know that I was canceling my daughters appointment tomorrow and that I was having to switch pediatricians all together but you didn't even ask why or seem to care.. the last week in a half being with this pediatric facility had been so stressful. You have weighed my daughter every two days saying her weight has fluctuated everytime drastically and I went to my lactation class today and they said there's no way possible that her weight has changed that much that often. You also told me that my milk wasn't providing her enough nutrition and I HAD to add formula to it even though I'm producing more than enough milk. They said that was very wrong of you to do as well. It's just upsetting how much stress this has caused my baby and I when all of it was unnecessary. Fortunately the lactation women checked her weight and she's back to her weight that she was at when she was born and she completely healthy and we will be seeing another provider Friday. I just had to let you know that these unfortunate events happened.

The recommendations our providers give are based on their years of medical training, what they can observe directly and what is shared with us by our patients. It is always our goal to ensure we provide the best medical advice we can based on the information we have. However, sometimes the advice you get from other providers can be different than what we recommend. We also know that the choice of a pediatrician is an important one that the connection between a family and their pediatrician is important, which is why we try to make it easy to transfer when a family feels they are better served by another practice.

We love EVERYTHING about this place!!! I love the receptionists, the MAs and nurses, the office, and the 3 different providers we have seen. We usually see Dr. Shaw if he is available, and I'm honestly so confused as to why anyone would not love him. He is efficient and knowledgeable, and he is always so kind and helpful! We LOVE him!!! We are about to move out of state, and I am so so so sad to have to find a new pediatrician that we trust as much as Dr. Shaw. :(
