They are nearly impossible to get hold of! You wait hours on hold to get an appointment. If you choose the callback, you never get a call back. The payee and the case managers are not on the same page, and often tell you contradictions constantly. Trying to get refills on psych meds is nearly impossible! At one point, I requested a location closer to a bus stop (my psychiatrist had moved to Parker without warning!), and the doctor threw a fit and scheduled an appointment even farther from the nearest bus stop (I would have been on the bus at 5 am, the worst time to ride mind you, been riding for 2+ hours, and would be given 10 minutes to run 3+ miles to my appointment); his office was originally 3 miles from the closest bus route, he rescheduled to an office 5 miles from the bus stop! I tried getting an emergency prescription from my provider, but he wouldn't give me one without seeing him in person. Additionally, the payee and case manager allowed me to go over the max I could have to keep SSI. This resulted in SSA taking a whole month's check out, not of last year's amount, but of this year's amount, which is $30 more than last year's amount! They say they will provide a list of resources, they Google it and give the advertised one, which often can't help because they aren't even related to what you want. They have also blamed me for having a bank account for the backpay! They have tried to force me to go cash despite all of the benefits and the help a bank account brings. If my money is spent on my card without my permission, the cops will investigate that, whereas they won't with cash robbery. I also am not a sitting duck destined to be robbed with a card, whereas with cash, I have a target on my back. I don't live in the best part of town that the cops dare not venture into. There are shootings day and night. I have mentioned this to them, and they absolutely do not care! I have also thought about a prepaid card, but most of my money would disappear in fees! There's fees for depositing money, keeping money, possession of the card, and fees per transaction! I need as much money as I can get, not a lot less! They don't care! I am transferring payee services out cuz I'm tired of the games they play! They had me come completely off ALL my psych meds for 9 days at one point. It sent me into a mix of suicidal depression and uncontrollable, nearly homicidal anger! No doctor should make their patient come off their meds cold turkey, and I suffered immensely miserable withdrawals as a result! Overall, AllHealth is so mismanaged and overworked that it is becoming the rule to have people fall through the cracks, and they care very little about how it affects the client. It is either their way or be abused and neglected by their staff!
