Buyer Beware!!
In my business, I often buy and sell electronic equipment that must be shipped all over the US (and world). I often pack and ship my own, but had a couple of specialty items that I thought would be better if professionally packed and shipped.
Boy was I wrong. I bought insurance due to the value of this one piece of equipment. Needless to say, it arrived so damaged that the buyer had to return it, costing me shipping to and from, the cost of insurance, and the destruction of my equipment itself.
The will not return my calls, to the shop or the owner's private cell phone, they will not honor the insurance claim, and the returned item was in shambles.

I've used Navis on and off for many years and always had good luck but my most recent experience was awful. I took in two boxes that needed some packing materials added and to be shipped. Seriously, a couple of things needed to be bubble wrapped and then the boxed need peanuts put in, to be sealed and shipped. Instead, the young man who was working, used two of their boxes, made a new box, put my stuff in it and shipped it. He was supposed to send me an email with the cost. I never got the email. When I stopped in to find out what the cost was, it was close to $300. Had I been emailed I could have stopped them from shipping. I've tried several times to get in touch with Keith, the owner and he's not returned calls or emails. Suffice it to say, I will never be using them again and will do my best to make sure no one I know uses them either.

After dealing with the knuckle heads on that website that is a TV show and their ridiculous rules that even if the driver cancels a day before pick up they by default keep a portion of your deposit though after wasting couple hours of my time did get it returned and on the positive side it led me to work the professionals at Navis Colorado who deliverd and the Dallas Texas Mavis who picked up and packed my items quite well so that when the team from Navis Colorado delivered it there wasn't any damage.
The amazing three man team that delivered and moved the items into my house were personable and customer care focused.
One of the items was a large armoire which I had hoped to put in bedroom one floor up which they tried to do even after they told me it wouldn't work. I am at 8k altitude which adds to the challange and I am glad no one got hurt. Life lesson for me don't be a dumbass and listen to the professionals but kudos for the team being gracious in giving it a try.

Short version - Keith & co are not qualified to handle international shipping. Also, Kieth was quite rude, threatening and aggressive on the phone. Long version - I needed to ship three paintings to an auction house in London. I was a bit disturbed that they had me fill out the customs and shipping forms since I figured that it might be a complicated process. The package was shipped and I assumed delivered. I should have checked the tracking because it turned out that an additional $575 in fees was required to have it delivered. At this point I started communicating with UPS directly. It took me paying through my own personal UPS account to resolve the situation. I don't have a problem with the fees. It's just that Keith should have been aware of them and take steps to provide a smooth delivery. He acted like it was a complete surprise and 'you never can tell when this kind of thing will happen'. This is coming from a supposed shipping professional. In the course of our phone conversation Keith was rude, loud and belligerent. Not apologetic at all. In fact the very opposite.
