We hired Chris Torres with GTA Services to construct a small bathroom in our basement in November of 2016. It was supposed to be a 2-3 month project. We finally fired him 9 months later. The entire project was fraught with poor communication and subpar work. Essentially every step of the project had to be redone due to poor or incorrect workmanship. For example, the wrong size toiled was roughed in, drain pipes were cemented in while the pipes were sticking out five inches into the air, and the drywall had to be ripped out and redone because no one checked what was required for inspection in our county. What has given us the most grief is the framing. Damian, the framer, did not build the walls to the dimensions on the plans, nor were they straight or plumb. Repairs were made, but we were left with walls that were still not great. Chris assured us this would get corrected later and that it could be fixed with shims. It never was. All of the big trouble we had finishing the bathroom post GTA and all of the odd little things about it now stem from the shoddy framing. If we had the funds, the best thing would have been to tear it all out and start over. When we voiced our concerns about the work being done, Chris barely acknowledged or even ignored them. We had multiple plumbers and electricians and most inspections did not pass the first time. We never knew when or if someone was going to work on our house. Later we learned that at least one of the subcontractors was not properly paid. Working with GTA was certainly a learning experience, and one that we have deeply regretted. This not a company we would ever recommend.

Unprofessional, under qualified, unkept promises, breach of contract, home damages from the sub contractors he hires.

Absolutely horrible. Breach of contract, misrepresentation from the initial bid, and now, an abandonment of our project GTA has $20000 of our money. Unprofessional and unqualified. Labor was done under the table with uncertified people. We are now 17 weeks in to a project that was promised to be completed in 4 weeks. We have a complaint with the BBB and Home Advisor Contract Solution department started as well as a pending lawsuit. DO NOT get you hearts broken and find a real contractor. We contacted the contractor after three months of no communication or work. My husband finish phase 1, installed the installation and we hired another contractor to drywall so we would meet our inspection deadline. GTA admitted he spent our money and could not finish the project. Walked away with $18775 in cash. Do NOT hire GTA or GATAH for your project.
