The review here on this page with the name ED MO is in fact the owner of house of decor. I have seen a lot of bad reviews on here. So I just want to point out something here. One I do knows how house of decor runs there business. First thing you look at is the contractors License number. If you notice its a 9 number. what should let you know that he is new in this business, Or you just burn a lot of people in the past so he had to get a new number. I can tell you that he does not pay tax when he charges people. he keep it. he is a really shady guy. Eddie has really no shame for what he does. he just want to burn people. Believe me i see how he works.If anyone has any questions I would be more then glad to answer anything you might know.... I say stay away for doing any kind of business with that company.... thank you..

Eddy Perez soliciting business under House of Décor in Van Nuys, CA went to my mother’s home a handicapped senior citizen claiming to be a licensed contracted named House of Décor providing a business name, address and contractor’s license number that does not belong to him. Goes in to your home after falsely creating this identity so that you the hard working honest consumer could allow him to conduct work in your home, work that he is not qualified to do and most importantly not licensed to do, once the consumer catches on that he doesn’t know what he is doing and you confront him about it he walks off the job with 95% to 100% of the job paid leaving the consumer with thousands of dollars in damages and unperformed work. We contacted House of Décor in Van Nuys, CA and they are claiming they have no knowledge of what Eddy is doing and that he does not work for House of Decor. Make sure you check all these people out because House of Décor who claims they didn’t know who Eddie Perez was, sure knew how to contact him immediately after I called in to report the scam because after I called House of Décor, Eddy Perez started calling my senior citizen mother and harassing her along with some person named Mike a “paralegal” from House of Decor. It just seemed very odd to me that when I called in to report the scam the owner of House of Décor was not upset at all and somehow contacted Eddy immediately??? Please check these people out before you do any kind of business with them before it’s too late!!! My mother is out thousands of dollars.

I have had a similar experience as Omides Rosette. My guy was named (Peter) Pedro Juan Guzman and his worker Mario Antonio Calderon Pedro will not complete the remodel to my kitchen and refuses to give me my money back. When I initially hired Mr. Guzman, he worked for House of Decor. That's where I met him and that's where he said he could do the work for me. He input my info into the computer there. I later called to verify what kind of work Pedro does and Vic said good. House of Decor is now trying to distant themselves from him. I gave Pedro 95% of the money. Pedro has given me a invoice for the cabinets for $9k that he had handwritten. I asked several times for the invoice from the manufacture where he brought the cabinets, he refused to give it to me. The boxes that the cabinets came in and the cabinets themselves do not have any name brand on them. Peter Guzman and his worker, Mario Antonio Calderon did the floor tile work and it was horrible. It was cracked and not lined up. I took photos. Peter said it would be ok as soon as he put the grout on. I told Guzman, he would have to take it out and that I knew a tiler that can redo it. I had to pay for it myself. I asked who he ordered the granite from and he gave the xlj Granite and cabinets. 4466 Baldwin Ave, El Monte, Ca. I looked it up on the internet and got the phone number. I called and asked if they have a paid order for granite in Peter's name, they said no. I asked if they had a order in my name and again they said no. Peter lied. I do not know what he did with my money but he did not buy the granite as he said he did. I questioned him about it and he said he would gave me 2k back so that i can buy the granite myself and we were even. Meaning he would not finish the work. Now that he has most of the money, his done with the remodel. I have no kitchen. House of Decor does not want to take responsibility for their employee. I am out serious money. I called a team, a electrician, tiler and contractor to look at Guzman's work and they said to not to let Guzman back into my house. That I will need to have all of his work looked at, so that the house does not burn down. The drywall was like a child had done it. Guzman and Mario would come at all hours, 12 noon, 5pm and would work for a few hours, then leave. I have half put together cabinets, sitting all over my garage and living room. I have wire hanging out of the drywall. There are wholes in my drywall. The drywall is lopsided and the texture on the drywall is sloppy. Please be careful who you hire and from where.
