I ordered some cash to be exchanged for my trip and they told me to come by the office. Went to pick it up and they had sent it to the bank in AT, after making me wait there an hour. They told me to come specifically Monday morning. Went back there again to pick it up and they said they wouldnt have it until 12 completely unprofessional and amateurish. Terrible service.

These people are crooks. I was charged $200 in overdraft fees on a few charges that were supposed to go to a different card totalling less than $100. I went in and the jerk laughed at me so I closed my account. Don't do business with these criminals.

Charmaine Beth and Lisa Wray totally bungled and fumbled away my twenty year relationship with this bank.  Between the SLO and Santa Maria branches, they failed multiple times to do a simple change of address, acknowledged they failed yet somehow still failed to take responsibility for it, in the process demanded to know "where my money comes from" (I'm an insurance broker and had received a lump sum of renewal payments, not that it's their business), pried into and gave their unwelcome personal commentary on my divorce, promised several follow ups into their terrible service, yet didn't follow through on any of their service promises, and when I expressed my displeasure they decided to close my accounts as the relationship was "no longer beneficial".  I've had multiple calls and interactions with the corporate higher ups (supposedly "the office of the President" in Monterey) over the matter, and the common consensus is that the San Luis Obispo branch royally screwed up several times, screwed up in trying to fix it several times, but there really isn't anything that can be done about it aside from me either choking it down and accepting it or leaving.  They have acknoweldged that banking with Union Bank in good faith has been at best extremely difficult and emotionally taxing, and the blame lies entirely with Union Bank for that.  The accountability in the branch itself is nonexistent, Charmaine Beth would rather politically protect her own behind than provide the level of customer service where she herself sets the bar.  She will claim to investigate her staff messing the bed, assure you it'll never happen again, then when she herself does it and you call her out, her reply will be "Well, certainly there is strong evidence that a bed in your proximity was messed, and your expectations for the cleanliness of that bed were clearly not met.  So perhaps your standards for a clean bed are better met elsewhere.  We have the utmost standards for clean beds here at Union Bank, but for whatever reason, that didn't happen here."  Frankly I shouldn't even know who she is, and if I do, the opinion should be positive.  I met Charmaine Beth, dealt with her "service", and roughly a month later I'm leaving the bank I've spent my whole adult life at.  She had to be corrected by her superiors to send me correspondence acknowledging her failure after substandard service, and I'm happy to share a screen shot of the emails if that's disputed here.Good luck with Union.  It's only your money, right?

The tellers have always been friendly, but after spending nearly 20 minutes on their automated phone service with no option to get a real person to help, I have had enough. They tried to sell multiple services without any way to opt out, the AI interface was ridiculously slow, and in the end they were unable to activate an ATM card! Ridiculous.
