Citrus Restaurant

This place serves up dishes that are creative, visually pleasing, and delicious at the same time. The amount of food per dish may not be large enough to some people who are accustomed to the big-comfort sizes, but keep in mind this is a Tapas place to begin with - we are completely satisfied with that. The service is also very friendly, courteous, and catering to our need.

My party ordered a plethora of dishes in my absence as I was making my way to the restaurant. They were the cauliflower, lamb, chicken wings, risotto, and sea bass. I won't go into detail about all of them. The risotto was on the creamier side (which I find better than the other spectrum, al dente), the cauliflower was seasoned well, the lamb was very "gamey", however the sea bass... oh boy. I took one bite of the sea bass, and it was very fishy. I swallowed the small bite and informed the table that they shouldn't eat anymore of it. The long story short, is that I was up all night with my girlfriend as we took turns "helping" each other in the bathroom. Before that sea bass was cooked, it undoubtedly smelled very potent. If that is the type of decision making that is happening in the kitchen, many inferences can be made. I understand the old saying, "If you have a positive experience, you tell one person, but if you have a negative experience, you will tell ten." So take this as you may, but none of my friends will be returning to the Hotel Valencia's restaurant.

The best place to dine out with VIP since I've been in San-Francisco. Dessert was great, too.
