Avenel Apartments - CLOSED

This place is pretty close to everything you would need from an apartment complex. My favorite part so far has been the customer service. I have high standards for my living and have come to the office with my concerns many many times. Marisol and Mike have never not make me feel welcome or 100% listened too. On top of that my issues are actually being addressed and fixed!!!!!!! This almost has never happened for me in the past. I'm useually treated as if it is my fault or have to wait forever to get a response from someone. NOT HERE! I have walked out of the main office everytime happier then I went in. THANKS MARISOL AND MIKE! YOU MADE MY MOVE FROM COLORADO WAY LESS STRESSFULL!!

I lived here with my husband for 2 years. Over all it was average. After the apartments changed ownership it went down hill fast, they started charging for a second parking spot, taking away places for residents to park and increasing rent costs. The old manager was amazing, very accommodating, easy to get ahold of, professional and very nice! Pros: Close to freeway, carports are really close to the apartments, very dog friendly, quite, nice renovations, fixed any issues in the apartment quickly, wood floors, stainless steel appliances, nice pool, and gated  Cons: If you live on the first floor you can hear every single step your upstairs neighbor makes, even when they're walking softly. Parking is a nightmare, when we had visitors we had to get in our car and pick them up a mile down the road if it was past 8pm. Last but not least spiders. Yes, spiders everywhere all the time. All over, in and out of the apartment.l ( And I'm a clean/neat freak) Behind the apartments there is a oil well(?). It caught fire 3 times while living there. This isn't an issue with the apartment complex but just a heads up. I've had my previous home catch on fire, so had I known this was an issue I would have picked a different apartment. We were on the back side facing away from King Rd. It was extremely unsettlingThe last con is specific to pet owners:  (We have 2 dogs, one had no reaction and the other did) One of our dogs had a bad reaction whatever they sprayed on the grass, to the point she was on meds daily and had to be wiped down after every walk. A few doggie visitors came by as well and had the same reaction. This could be a coincidence, but if I'm leaving a requested review I'm going to include everything.

My stay at Avenel was very pleasant and memorable. Mike really cares about people, he listens to his customers, remembers us, keeps track of conversations and provides services promptly which makes him a very friendly, approachable person.
