Chouquet's

When my sister and I arrived we needed a brief sit-down and drink after walking the hills of Pacific Heights. We asked the hostess if it was okay for us to just get a drink and were pointed to 2 available tables. We began chatting with the woman sitting at the table next to us on the patio, received our drinks, and were enjoying being off our feet for that brief time. Our waiter, expecting us for some reason to order food, became first rude and then totally, loudly abusive. He shrieked at our attempts to explain what had transpired, told us he didn't care what we thought, and then escalated the situation when I tried to point out the hostess who had okayed our drinks-only request. He thought I was pointing AT him, and at that point he went WILD! All the customers on the patio and inside the restaurant heard, and jaws were dropping everywhere. There was absolutely no excuse for this incident, and Chouquet's should get rid of this 'man' who obviously has extreme anger issues even in the light of 2 seniors calmly trying to explain. He should not be working with the public in any capacity.
