Wow, Black Diamond Construction is wonderful to work with. They renovated my new office. This is my fourth office move and renovation and it was by far the best experience I have ever had. They completely transformed the space that was old and outdated and made it look fresh, clean, and modern. They were able to accommodate exactly what I wanted. I am so happy with the results. Before the project even started, I met with the owner and project manager. They listened to my needs and wants for the space and thoroughly explained what they could do while also staying on budget. When the project started, we had a meeting to go over the timeline and schedule of when each step would be completed. The project manager was always available for any questions or concerns that I had. We had regular meetings over the phone and on site, so I always knew what was going on. I even had major surgery during the process and they were able to accommodate this challenge and ended up finishing earlier than the scheduled completion date. The entire project exceeded my expectations from the look and functionality of the office to the amazing customer service they provide. I would 100% work with them again on any project. I have worked construction from an administrative side for many years, including working in the construction management industry. BLD was assigned to the company I was working for, thru our landlord for a tenant improvement project. The owner was one of the most unprofessional people I have ever worked for. I found many problems with the final product and they did not like one bit that I knew what to look for. Some of the walls had warped and that was pointed out during our initial walk through. They refused to fix this after pointing this out during our final walk through and I was told we should have pointed this out during the initial walk through. Other excuses I was given for unacceptable work was, come on - give us a break here. We are trying to make a profit. If you know what to look for in a construction job, I wouldn’t use this company. They seem to make their money on people who don’t know what should be done. This company also likes to double dip. They charged us for being the acting GC and construction management team - which is a conundrum really, since a construction manager’s responsibility is to monitor a GC. Very shady company!!!
