I truly felt like a part of this banking family. From the moment I walked through their doors, I was treated with such warmth and genuine care.
One thing that immediately stood out was their commitment to providing is they wont hold your check for days or instant access to funds. Unlike my previous encounters at other branches, Mission Federal didn't make me wait for days to access my hard-earned money. They understood the urgency and provided me with immediate access, saving me the unnecessary stress and inconvenience of delayed funds.
Their commitment to treating customers like family in this small community in Scripps is truly remarkable. From the immediate access to funds to the outstanding customer service, I have found a banking institution that I can confidently rely on. If you're looking for a bank that treats you with the utmost care and consideration, I wholeheartedly recommend this branch of Mission Federal. I have been with MFCU since 1972 and have purchased numerous "Promotional" cd accounts over the years.I was delighted to find that I could set up a promotional cd over the phone, using cash from my current account. Although I have two cds with MFCU at a higher rate, I set up a 14 month cd , only to find, days later when the certificate arrived in the mail, stating that this cd carried a SIX MONTH early withdrawal penalty!At my age, I would normally never agreed to those terms, but found that I would be assessed an early withdrawal penalty if I I did not follow through with my purchase less than one week later!I talked to three MFCU employees who claimed that it was my fault for not ascertaining the usurious penalty associated with this cd, although the terms were not disclosed when I made the purchase! They seemed to think that I should have intuitively known the the details when I bought the cd.I'm keeping the cd, although I would never have agreed to those terms. All I am asking is that full disclosure SHOULD have been made clear when a cd is purchased by telephone. Even Andrew, the "manager" who has repeatedly failed to return my calls, apparently does not seem to feel that this detail is important.MISSION FEDERAL CREDIT UNION EMPLOYEES DON"T SEEM TO FEEL THAT FULL DISCLOSURE, ALTHOUGH REQUIRED BY LAW, IS IMPORTANT WHEN DEALING WITH THEIR CLIENTELE!Do they really care about a customer who has been with their company over 50 years?

Odd customer service and not very friendly employees. There are other Mission Federal Credit Unions that have far friendlier customer service.

This bank will waste your time, they will promise it all then counter offer your loan. If I needed half of my loan amount I would of asked for that amount... this place is going down hill, I hope they hit rock bottom and fold.

Cynthia from Mission Federal called me on Friday to address my concerns. Though it was much appreciated, still not a lot Mission Federal could have done. Cynthia did agree that there should have been something Mission Federal could have, and should have done, but it was never offered. Cynthia did offer to attempt and try to lower my monthly payment over the course of more months due to the forced insurance add on. Again, appreciated but the affordability of my monthly payment wasn't the issue. I already took accountability for that. The issue was them not wanting to work with a member due to a difficult time in one's life. Don't really know where to go from here. It wasn't enough to keep me as a member. I really am sorry I have to leave. But I need to think about myself and if this happens again in the future, how it would inconvenience one's life.
