We needed to have a lateral sewer job done at our home in San Mateo. This seemed like a daunting and expensive job filled with lots of unknowns. We had several companies come out to give us quotes/estimates. Some of the other companies never followed up with us and never provided any additional information or communication. It was very easy for us to hire Bullseye Plumbing to do this work for us. Ken and his crew at Bullseye Plumbing made this big job easy, efficient, and much more manageable than we first envisioned. Bullseye Plumbing came out to give us an estimate and were extremely responsive and communicative throughout the entire job and after as well. The crew was respectful of my neighbors, my property, and my time. They showed up on time, completed the work in the estimated time they predicted it would take. They left my property very clean each day and picked up as much as possible. If you are needing a lateral sewer job completed, Ken at Bullseye Plumbing should be your go-to choice.

Hardly a glamorous review. :). We has a broken pipe buried 10-12 feet below garden. We had 3 estimates based upon 3 possible solutions (all involving a lot of digging). Bullseye was least expensive and most durable solution, specifically trenchless. Workers were friendly; the owner, Ken, was easy to work with. In short, no one wants to spend money on lateral sewer line, but if you need to Bullseye does a good job at a reasonable cost.

These guys are fantastic! We needed a full lateral sewer line replaced and they got the job done. They had to dig up the lawn, walkway and the street. I thought for sure I would have to take care of lawn and sidewalk repairs, but nope that was all included and it looks great. I am completely happy and would recommend these guys anytime!! Thanks for doing a great job. Service: Sewer repair

Unfortunately i had experience with sewer lateral replacement with this company and the owner Ken in October 2021. The crew was polite and everything seem good, they were onsite for 3 days. The day before the city inspection schedule date i asked the owner Ken, who was on site that day if everything was good and the answer was - Yes. In fact Ken asked me if i wanted to have my driveway redone using bricks. I asked how much would it be - he gave me number. I said, no thank you, just close with concrete as per contract. The next day the city inspectors came. Since i was under the impression that everything was good, i didn't communicate with them directly and only asked the crew after - if the inspection passed and they said - NO. Later that day Ken showed up and when i asked him what was wrong, he told me there is no grade and my pipe is full of water. It was the first time i heard about the problem. Which was very strange since the day before he told me everything was good. In fact, without my knowledge/not per contract the crew installed some back pressure device that water was not running back to the house, the owner Ken was aware of that and didn't even notify me of that until after the inspection failed. After inspection failed, Ken told me i can accept as is or i have to pay alot to do open trench repair. That day he and his crew were telling me i would have to pay around ~30-40k for open trench, later when i requested the estimate from Ken for that - it was ~25k.I really didn't know how to proceed and even was considering to accept as is. However, the city inspectors of San Mateo were extremely helpful and explained to me that the condition was extremely poor and my pipe was full of water - "sag / belly in the lateral approximately 10 - 15 feet sag starting from the two way clean out towards the main. This failed area of your lateral is filled more than half way with stagnant waste water." I asked Ken to fix, he gave me the new quote for building a new sewer line (which was around 25k) and told me he can only fix with building a new line. I told him i don't want to build a new sewer line and existing line had to be fixed. He didn't do any single attempt to fix the condition and he was kept saying "he was not making any profit on my project and any fixes are very expensive". There were a few more communications with him where i was asking him to fix my pipe after which he sent me "5k estimate for attempt to fix with no guarantee".Ken/Bullseye Plumbing didn't take any responsibility for breaking my pipe. The pipe was in normal condition before the replacement - it was original 50years old pipe which only had to be replaced because it was point of sale in San Mateo. Last time i had a phone call with him - he told me "he was loosing his patience". I was confused how the licensed contractor/professional/business owner could allow this tone in talking to the customer. Anyways, i gave Bullseye Plumbing the opportunity to fix their mistake and they refused. The huge hole on my driveway was open for more than a month.I started looking for a company which would fix it and close the hole, and i was lucky i found very experienced company which helped me to fix the issues and passed the inspection/completed the project. They also pointed to me that Bullseye Plumbing broke my existing drainage pipe(pic attached) and new contractor had to fix it as well. Also they mentioned that Bullseye Plumbing didn't grind/polish the place where the pipe connect to the main which was most likely the reason of the sag / belly - they had to do it per codes. It was extremely horrible and stressful experience for me and my family and i just wish i had never hired Bullseye Plumbing at the first place to do sewer lateral replacement. I was going through their yelp reviews before and didn't see any red flags. Since i am using yelp alot and rely on customers reviews, i hope my experience will help to other people in San Mateo area as well.
