I've been told that this Sear was once a great store to shop when people lived in the area in the 70'sand 80's. Now the "Uptown" area of Oakland is transforming the neighborhood, this store hasn't improved with the area. This store is where they ship items for discount sale, the stock they carry is much more limited and sometimes hard to find a sales person for help in the electronics section, but hey, you can still get some good buys here.
Well after it's many years here, they are finally closing the store. The shelves are empty and will close on Aug 31st. The property has been sold one of the clerks said, They're still friendly and helping everyone with the final push to empty the shelves. I am glad they're going to restore this historic building.

Amazing store. Loved the clothing selection. It really speaks volumes to the store!

The men working in tools and hardware would be better suited in a dress store, or a nursing home. Service is mediocre at best, there are a couple people who do their job well but good luck finding them. Parking sucks, product selection sucks, this sears just plain sucks. I am honestly surprised this store hasn't closed down yet. Get it together! This store should be on par with the suburban stores, Oakland deserves better.
