I highly recommend going to ACCHS for VERY affordable health care.  After a month of weekly visits, I feel more energetic and positive. My acute health problems of the last 7 months are dissipating; even my chronic illnesses are improving.  I trust my practitioner and the supervision they receive to determine my treatment plan.

I do not know if my "updated review" will include the old review so I pasted it at the bottom.Another positive experience. This time I had student Suzanne. She was thorough, smart, & good. The first time I met her supervisor who also was good.My complaint this time was different. Headaches & tight muscles. I had 2 treatments. Each worked 100% for about 26 hours. It's been about 1.5-2 weeks since my first treatment. I have a slight feeling but no pain & no need for medications (aspirin-Anacin). In other words: it worked IMMEDIATELY.My experience is that they are always on time. I waited 2 minutes or so for Suzanne. Showing up early doesn't help. 2 block walk from BART's 17th St exit so no parking problem.I will return if necessary.Everyone I had contact with spoke clear English. I hear some workers speaking Chinese among themselves. The present Senior Citizen rate is $35. They are offering a 3 treatments for the price of two treatments for February but I did not take advantage of that offer. I think the regular rate is $40. CHEAP!Now to the woman who said being an attorney. Then go elsewhere. You must trust your health care provider. I do. About alleged discrimination: reading her review I feel hate from her.- - - Here's the original review in case it is no longer available due to my update:When I read a review, I like to start with the 1 star reviews to see who says what. Then I look at the 5 star reviews. I will tell my entire experience.I phoned for an appointment. The Chinese woman who answers the phone speaks VERY softly. I had to repeatedly ask her to speak louder. She also speaks very poor English. She transferred me to a woman who spoke loud & clear.1-2 reviewers complained that they got lost & were sent up & down stairs. NOT MY EXPERIENCE. I walked in & was greeted by 2 smiling faces. One white & one black. Later I complimented the black woman on her smiling face. She replied that it is "hard not to smile here." What does that tell you about the clinic & also her?I was early. At the exact moment that was my appointment Susan walked up, introduced herself, & said that she was running about 10 minutes late. How considerate! In fact, she was almost 20 minutes late. Things happen. I understand. At ALL times Susan was asking me if I was comfortable (etc). This is a first class operation. It was a question & answer session for 45 - probably 60 minutes. Bowel movement, health problems, urinary tract, do I get cold, she looked at my tongue 3 times, etc. She had a problem with my pulse (maybe I was momentarily dead?) so called in a supervisor. Actually it was probably my missing artery from a surgery. Then we got going. She put maybe 10-12 needles in me & pointed an infrared lamp on me, & left me alone for 15 minutes. She left me with a bell to ring if I had a problem. She returned to check up on me & returned after maybe 10 more minutes. It is too early to know how successful this was. "MAYBE" I am slightly better? I expected it to take multiple visits & I made a 2nd appointment. I made the appointment with Laura who my cardiologist sees & recommended. Even if this doesn't work for my problem (I think that it will at least reduce my pain), I feel it is a worthwhile attempt by good people. They spent over 2 hours on me. My senior citizen rate is only $20. Wow. Even at what I think the list rate is ($60), it is a good deal. I paid CASH. Credit cards just take a percentage from them.

As allopathic medicine becomes more reliant on high tech, TCM continues to provide high touch care. ACCHS trains their students to hone their observational skills, listen to what patients are saying as well as their bodies, and use their other senses to detect symptoms.Ms. Lida, the student who has been providing acupuncture services and care, has everything I want in a healer. Ms. Lida is attentive, gentle, patient and warm hearted. Sessions with her are healing for my body and my soul.I went to ACCHS for a solution to rashes that were very irritating. Thanks to Ms. Lida's care, under the supervision of a doctor, acupuncture and herbal medicine, the rashes have gone away. I continue to get treatment to improve and maintain my health.
