I am not delighted with my recent $6 purchase of garlic pistachios. About half of the bag contained nuts that were not at all cracked, making them impossible to eat. The rest of the bag had nuts that were just barely cracked, requiring a tool to pry them open the rest of the way.
The garlic flavor was good. I sucked on most of the shells before throwing them out. Even the slightly cracked nuts contained nut meat tasting slightly off, really chewy, so I didn't eat these either and just sucked on the shells.
Honestly, some sort of quality control needs to be in place here. These should never have been sold.
