After finding out about Porto's and trying the deep fried mashed potato balls We couldn't wait to try Versailles! Wow What a DISappointment!! We sat at a counter that was stuck together with sheet metal screws, The water glasses were scratched and they could have at least thrown a lemon into the tap water they were dishing out. We ordered the beef Papas Rellenos amazingly gross they were frozen in the middle, you could taste the oil they were fried in and it was stale and burnt. The ham ones were made of deviled ham out of a can and were burnt to a crisp in the same nauseating oil. All the while the cook and 5 others stood around talking and laughing right in front of us never even asking about our food. Will NEVER return and neither should you!! This was the one in Manhatten Beach

I love the Versailles on Venice Blvd. That restaurant is always packed and the parking lot is always full too so when we drove into the Manhattan Beach Versailles lot on a Saturday evening and found plenty of space to park then walked into a half full restaurant we thought it was strange. Then we ordered the signature Versailles dish (the garlic chicken). The Versailles on Venice has chicken that is always juicy. This was dry and tough. I was so hungry that I didn't complain and I ate most of the chicken. The wings were impossible to eat. I will stick to the Versailles on Venice and never go to this one again.
