I had a great experience here. I'd been shopping around for ages (literally a couple of years) for a budget but quality paint job for my '87 VW Vanagon that I've been in the process of restoring. I was hesitant to even come in here after reading some of the negative reviews, but was in the area, so pulled in to scope it out. I ended up having a good conversation with Gustavo. I'd also been talking with Maaco, but from Gustavo's walk through of his team's process got the impression I was going to get a much better job done here, so booked it in on the spot. Overall, I will say the job wasn't perfect. There were some details I would have liked done a little differently, and in an ideal world I would have shown up at the shop more regularly throughout the process to keep an eye on things as they were progressing. For example, there was a tiny amount of overspray in some areas, some transitions between surfaces wasn't super clean. They also seem to have lost my parking permit when they removed my windshield. And there were stickers on the body which I thought should have been removed prior to painting, but which weren't. The truth is if I had paid $10k or more for this paint job, I would have expected a much higher bar, and given this a 4 or 3 star, maybe less as at that price I would expect every detail to be exactly right. But for a budget paint shop, I think they did a phenomenal job. They did an incredible job of fixing the bodywork, removing rust, and overall got my Westie looking better than it has in the 12+ years I've owned it. Maaco wasn't even going to unscrew anything (just tape everything up), but these guys even worked with a glass shop to get all the windows removed, as well a removing almost everything on the body (grills, lights, panels, etc). Again, there were some imperfections but if you've got a limited budget and looking for somewhere that is going to do a great job at a reasonable price, I would 100% recommend this shop. I've probably spoken and gotten quoted by close to 20 paint shops in and around the LA area (and this was one of the least expensive quotes I got). I am very happy I brought my bus here, and with how great it turned out. Services: Body & Trim, Painting
