Been over a year since they initially dropped the tree, cut it up and removed it from the yard. But we still have a good foot of the 24" round stump left, and after numerous calls and talks with "Mark", I guess I gotta chalk this up to another lesson learned. Not happy ... not a fan.
On Sunday, June 22nd 2013, I hired Mark's to cut down & remove a palm tree from my yard. I had to briefly leave before they were totally complete, but asked the lady in charge to assure me they would complete the job in my absence. She agreed wholeheartedly. I reluctantly handed over the payment check, as I wasn't sure how soon I'd be able to get back home. We discussed, in some detail, how low I wanted the stump cut and removed.
When I returned an hour later, they were gone and the stump looked exactly as it had when I left.
Last Wednesday, the 28th of August I placed my 4th phone call to Mark's, using all 3 contact numbers at my disposal. Mark assured me he'd personally be back that day to get it completed, blamed his crew, and again assured me it would be fixed.
Today is Saturday the 31st of August, and I am considering filing a BBB complaint, as it has still not been touched.
It's not so much the money or the intensity of the problem ... it's the principle involved. You make an agreement, you pay for the job, and you don't get what was initially agreed upon. And then you get lied to. Enough is enough.
