Gentle Dental El Cerrito

I was nervous about coming here because of the bad reviews, but alas, my insurance company seems to only cover offices that have 2 star ratings. I was pleasantly surprised. Very little wait for my appointment. I was disappointed because I had my first cavity, but getting the filling was very easy and hardly painful at all. I waited to write a review to make sure I didn't run into any billing shenanigans, but everything went really smoothly, and no surprise bills in the mail so far!

I had a positive first experience @ Gentle Dental. David my hygienist made it a five-star experience for me. He was informative, thorough and honest. I never felt any discomfort. He is the best 🥇

When I arrived at my appointment they told me they are shutting down and therefore could not see me. They did not try to email, call, or in any way contact me beforehand to tell me this was happening. Very unprofessional.

I have had not so great teeth my whole life and have been to many dentists from multiple states. This has to be my worst experiences hands down. Not once but every time. From the dentist talking down to me and asking if I "Do lots of crazy drugs" to have her entire elbow in my mouth and leaving my jaw soar for 2 days, I just can't go back anymore. The final straw was the misbilling, and now reading online I see it is a common ploy. I received a bill after I had already paid in full because they misbilled me apparently. But after requesting proof, they stopped returning my emails. The customer service and actual teeth service is bad. I would never go back. Every filling I got was too high and she never seems to be able to get it right. Beware of this office to anyone considering going
