Kitchen Remodeling Cabinets & Design Center

We ordered "Kitchen" cabinets back on March 9th, 2013. Paid for them up front and were told they would be coming from Diamond Manufacturing. Delivered within 4-6 weeks. To this date (May 30th, 2013) we still don't have a conformation of what kind they are, where they are, who they are coming from and when they will be delivered. I have called them more that 20 times over the past 2 months asking the same question: Where is my paper work? Where are my cabinets? No one has been able to tell me anything except give me excuses. Like the finish is drying, really? I want my money back so I can remodel my kitchen with someone who cares. R. Milnes

Contract to remodel a kitchen was signed in January, told it would take 3-5 weeks, and of this writing,June 16, still going on. They did not start work until 3/27. In the 12 weeks since then, no one has shown up to do work on 37 days, with a handful with less than four hours done., no phone calls to notify us on . The numerous incidents with them are two numerous to detail here. However, as an example, we wanted a certain countertop from a company. After numerous delays, the owner called us and said it was not available. We picked a different countertop from a different company. Sensing that something was wrong, I went to another dealer, Home Depot, and was told that particular countertop was available and would arrive in 1 1/2 weeks. I also contacted the manufacturer who replied, in writing, that the pattern was available in three different warehouses in California. On two separate occasions, we were notified that the company was going to arrive to install the alternate countertop. They did not show either time, no phone calls, as usual. As of this writing, still waiting. No apologies, no explanations that ring true for any of the delays. SO, unless you enjoy being jerked around, I would recommend, based upon my experience and the experience of others (which unfortunately I did not read in time), STAY AWAY.

I decide to renovate my kitchen and went to J & J Cabinets to choose and get a price. I met a very smooth talker lady Erika who promise me the 'world' just to get my signature and down payment. they promise to install the cabinets in 7 days with city permit. 2 days later I had a crew demo my kitchen and they send an electrician to prepare the outlasts and switches and a plumber to check the plumbing. the permit never been puled until i called and they eventually pulled the permit and at day num 6 the inspector showed up. nothing was up to code of what this guys did and he issue a correction that took 2 more inspections to pass. here we are at day num 10 and not even close to be ready for the cabinet installation....the tile guy was done in 2 days and the drywall guy took another 2 days and we in the renovation already 2 weeks and one day. now that we were ready for the cabinets the installer never didn't show up.....I called to the store and they told me that the cabinets will come another week......what the hake?! I've try to speak with the owner or manager and always got the excuse that he his out of the country or out for lunch/brunch/meeting and so on.... a week pass by and the guys with the cabinet didn't show up again. the store secretary apologize and said it will take 2 more days.....! The day came and the cabinets as well and it wasn't the same cabinets I've chosen in the store and have it on my receipt. I called to the store to get explanations and they try to give all sort of stupid reasons like the color change sometime .....or what I saw in the store is been discontinued and so on. totally mast up on my order. I told the guys to get the hal out of my house and decide to look somewhere else and found a store in North Hollywood by the name MTD who had a nice selection and install the cabinet I choose in 2 days and the best part they charge 1/2 a price on the same cabinet I choose in J&J ?!. I called the city inspector to finalize my project and when he came I told him the story he said that he is not surprise cause this J&J Cabinets have many customers like mine with the same story....he even reported them to the CSLB for an investigation. Who ever read this review do your self a favor and stay the hal out of this store....they are a smooth talker with empty promises. they are not the cheapest and u can find way better service and price somewhere else.
