I recently went back to college, and since I have very meager finances, I needed to replace my failing camera (I'm a photographer), because I need one to do portrait and art photography to try to make some additional money to help pay for my education. Not having very much money, I spent weeks trying to find a suitable replacement for my old camera that I could afford, having been outbid or my offers within my budget declined. So, when one was posted today on eBay that was in such great condition that it would usually sell for several hundred more than the seller was asking through the buy-it-now option, and his asking price was right at my budget, I felt like the luckiest person alive. Unfortunately, when I submitted my debit card payment through eBay, it was declined. I reviewed all of my information to make sure I hadn't entered anything incorrectly, and when I saw everything was correct, I immediately called my bank (Simmons) to find out what was happening. I felt panicked, because the camera was such a great deal that I knew it would sell very quickly. While on the phone with the gentleman from the bank, a call came in from a toll-free number, and the gentleman urged me to take the call, because he said it might be from the bank's fraud protection system. So, I switched over, and it turned out the man was correct. The automated system said my account had been flagged as potentially compromised, so I had to go through several steps to verify my identity and to confirm that I was indeed the one using my card. At the end of the process, the system said my account was open and my card could be used again. So, I tried to submit my payment again, and it was declined again. Even more panicked now, I called Simmons back, and the woman with whom I spoke this time confirmed it was doing the same thing again, but she didn't know why. She then did something on her end and told me to try to submit my payment one more time, but when I tried this third time, eBay notified me that the camera had sold to someone else. After weeks of agonizing over dozens and dozens of listings, then spending days trying to buy a camera to no avail, when the perfect opportunity finally presented itself, Simmons ruined my one chance to finally get the camera I need at a price I can afford in a timeframe that will let me get back to work before my financial situation turns dire. And, now, the only hope I could have of getting a camera in time would be to spend hundreds of dollars more, which I don't have. And even their social media staff followed up with me to essentially communicate something akin to, "Oh well. Better luck next time." They made no offer to fix the very real, very damaging situation Simmons created and has now left me in. This is entirely Simmons' fault, and I have been a loyal customer for years, having been with Metropolitan before they bought it. I didn't leave to go to another bank, even when so many of the ways I was used to banking with Metropolitan changed under the new ownership. Yet, this is the ultimate result of that patronage. They messed me over not once, but twice, and now I'm in an even worse situation, because every day without that camera is a day I can't try to make the money I need to afford college without being left homeless. I cannot caution people enough against using Simmons Bank. There is no way to know when they will block you from spending your own money, and if you're ever in a critical situation, that sudden inability to access your money could leave you not just out in the cold, but also having to spend hundreds or even thousands more than you would have if they hadn't done that to you in the first place. Please bank with another company. Please. I don't want you to end up in a similar situation, which you very well might. :(

Horrible service , I tired to set up a banking account the lady wouldn't explain the process all she did was hand me a piece of paper & she had a attitude in the process of it. I would not recommended anyone to bank here. My first time was horrible.

I come to this location a lot because it’s closest to my house. I mainly use the drive thru and have never had an issue. They even give my dog treats when he’s with me. Today was my 2nd time to have to go inside. I needed a replacement card and was missing some information. Edward, the manager, was amazing, efficient, and prompt. I appreciate his help and kindness.
