image I’m not much for words or reviews but they did an amazing job. I felt taken care of for the whole experience, even making my first consult appointment. Thanks again.

image Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean facility and honesty .I wasn't a candidate and they didn't try to just make money . I appreciated that !

image This was by far the best decision I have ever made in my life. After wearing glasses for 26 years. I can finally chuck them and I see so much more clearer now. It is worth every penny. I would recommend dr Hammond to anyone.

image I had Lasik performed on both eyes a month ago in the Tucson office, and I’m very happy with how it turned out. Before the procedure I was quite nearsighted (around 20/200), and after Lasik I am now 20/20. The doctors and staff were all very courteous and professional, and they were very good at explaining everything during the whole process. I first went in on a Monday for a screening to see if I was a good candidate, which I was. I wanted it done ASAP, and they scheduled me the same week for Friday (they said they only performed the surgery on Fridays). I had to come back on Thursday for more tests including eye dilation, and I returned on Friday for the procedure. I’m from out of town, so I booked a hotel for one night and left my car there (since it is not safe to drive immediately after the surgery), and used a ride-hailing service to get to the office. They charged my credit card, told me to take the Valium pill that they had previously prescribed, did a few last tests, then took me into the operating room. It was very quick. First they made the flaps in the corneas, and this was the worst part as it involved putting an uncomfortable amount of pressure on the eye to ensure it does not move during the process. The right eye was done quickly, but the left eye was harder as it took three tries to get it lined up perfectly. They can’t start unless everything is perfect, which I could understand. As a result, my left eye was bloodshot for several weeks afterwards, but Dr. Weber told me to expect that and said that it would not affect my vision - as far as I can tell it has not. Once the flaps were made, they rotated in the equipment that does the vision correction, and that was relatively fast and painless. The lasers were on only about five seconds per eye. I could smell a faint burning odor. Then the surgeon put the corneal flap back into place, did the other eye, and it was finished. They gave me some really dark glasses and I could go. A friend drove me to the hotel. I could see well enough to walk up to my hotel room without help. The first few hours were the worst with a burning sensation in my eyes. Eye drops helped to soothe them and I took some ibuprofen. I listened to the radio for a while and eventually fell asleep. By morning, the burning sensation was gone, and my vision was clear enough that I had no problems driving 1.5 hours back home. Within a day or two my eyes had healed enough that my vision was great during the day, but bright lights at night had halos and a starburst effect - this has slowly diminished over time and after a month it is not very noticeable. I had to use special medicated eyedrops for the first week and regular eyedrops every hour or so for a month, and went back for a follow-up visit after the first week and then again after the fourth week. They said it looked like the procedure went well, and I am very pleased with the result.
