image Waste of time and frustrated with Pam at Dr Desais office!! I had an appointment scheduled for April 12th with plenty of time to get my authorization from the Phx VA. Ralph with the Phx VA went above and beyond to ensure authorization was received prior to my visit but that didnt matter to Pam! She cancelled my appointment anyway, 2 days prior to my appointment. I wasted 2 hours on the phone, speaking to numerous call centers reps, only to have my appointment cancelled and to be lied to on the phone by Pam!! Horrible way to treat patients and Veterans!!!

image Went against the negative reviews and thought Id contact this office since my dad has had procedures done.
Prior to calling I had contacted my health insurance carrier to confirm in network providers which they were.
My insurance carrier has a member ID and within that, I can opt for coverage under Alliance Health or BCBSAZ. There is no ID specific to either carrier.
The front office staff said she could not locate my coverage and said it was not a BCBS number. I explained multiple times that the member ID what is the ID but was not specific to Blue Cross Blue Shield because I could opt for coverage under either insurance carrier.
She told me that I needed to contact my provider and confirm coverage. I told her I did that prior to contacting their office and confirmed they were in network. I asked if I could give her the provider number for benefit information so she could confirm my eligibility. She said they are not allowed to do that.
WTH?!!! I have never had a front office say they are not able to call the provider 888 number for benefit information to confirm benefit coverage. In fact; some have asked for it to confirm benefits before my appointment. Especially a front office member who was telling me that I needed to contact my health insurance provider which I had already done. Clearly, the issue was on the front office staffs system if they were unable to locate my benefits by just my ID number and Heaven forbid they go above and beyond and use the provider 888 number to clear it up as calling back my insurance provider was not going to solve the issue of their system not pulling up the in network information that my provider already confirmed.
Reviews are right, service at these offices are meh at best. Luckily I have other options
