Worst care ever received by an eye doctor. Both locations (PV and Prescott) have poor customer service by generally all staff. Dr. Amy Champ was disrespectful, condescending, and generally irritated when I came back into the office to take a second look at the prescription after my first visit. I had respectfully and kindly let her know that the original set of trial contacts weren't correct and, knowing this happens from time to time, was not upset whatsoever (I have astigmatisms in both eyes and have had prescription issues before in the past 25 years of wearing contacts). Immediately, she became defensive and after that was condescending (actually CORRECTING ME when I tried to read a letter on the board and it was wrong [who does this??? what's the purpose of correcting me???]) and not helpful at all (telling me to take out my contacts but not providing a container to put them in, and being irritated when I didn't just immediately take them out [because there was nowhere to put them!]). After a lot more condescending microaggressions during that visit, she tweaked the prescription (emphasized that "YOUR EYES DIDN'T LIKE THAT PRESCRIPTION LAST WEEK!") and ordered a new set. Weeks later, when I received the trial contacts, I discovered on my own that THE ADMIN STAFF LABELED THE CONTACTS BACKWARDS!! I'm not even mad that there was a human mistake here. It's an easy mistake to make. I'm mad that Dr. Champ didn't even try to problem solve the issue, and chose to be unprofessional instead. I am a licensed behavioral health professional and I would never treat another person the way she treated me. In fact, during the appointment, I was so caught off guard by her immature behavior that I kept thinking to myself "what is a respectful way to call her out on her defensiveness?" I and couldn't come up with an answer before the appointment ended so I gave myself time to process the situation. I complained to a front desk individual who said they would pass on the information to the office manager. If it was worth my time, I would send an email with every detail of the visit and look into whether I can file a board complaint, but my time is too valuable. I've used up enough of my time on this review. I hope it was helpful. My recommendation: find a local eye dr. and not a chain. The reason I came back a second time is solely because I needed contacts and didn't make the time to find someone new. I'm regretting that now.

I am so happy with the job they did on my eye. It is as good as it was before the retina tore loose, if not even better.
