    Unorganized, not enough staff, absolute dumpster fire. Gold member with reservation. Waited in multiple lines for TWO HOURS and did not ever get the car we reserved. Did not get ANY car, in fact. They made more reservations that they had cars to fulfill. Was forced to take an Uber at 3am. Will never use Hertz again. They grossly overbooked and at least 50 people that we could see, did not get a car. Update: I reached out the the link on their reply. Jonathan told me that they're not contractually obliged to honor my reservation and that they are unwilling to compensate us in any way. (However, we did check in and a contract was issued.) When hotels or airlines overbook, they at least give you a free ticket or room to compensate. Not Hertz. They did nothing to even try to make this right. They stated that people didn't return cars on time, but there were at least FIFTY PEOPLE waiting for cars, and there were no cars. I seriously doubt FIFTY PEOPLE didn't return their cars on time. Far more likely that Hertz vastly overbooked.

    When you make a reservation, do not select the managers special as your car choice. You will receive a Chevy Bolt. A range of about 120 miles, and should you decide to recharge it to avoid the $35 recharge fee plan on spending 4-6 hours at a public charger - no superchargers for the Bolt. Upon returning the car early, I was told by a candid Hertz employee that that is how they get you when you choose the managers special. So, as a policy, Hertz gives customers a car that for most drivers is totally impractical and that no customer would select if given a choice.

    An interesting experience. I am a Hertz rental member but could not find viable options through the member app and ended up renting through an another app. Decided to try an electric vehicle and after a quick check in (desk staff and curb staff were excellent), waited for awhile at the curb and was finally given the option to take the only electric vehicle (as they presented to us) available but only had an 66% charge with no reason given or option for alternative. No help was given on the use of the car (first time user) and the cleanliness of the car was lacking. Exiting the airport was a challenge but the staff at those points were friendly and helpful. The car worked overall as I figured out how to operate and find locations to charge to make up for the preparedness of the car. Return was easy and painless with an attentive return staff member. Overall the price I paid for the service received was lacking and will taint my use of Hertz moving forward.
