Arizona Medical And Natural Health Clinic

I purchased a package of laser hair treatments at Arizona Medical and Natural Health Clinic. I have the sheet and it was advertised as: One small area for $39 for one or $156 for five. Note there is NOTHING that says one of those is free. I will go more into that below. I went in for 2 of the treatments and successfully had the treatment. On the third trip up there, the doctor (Erika McKeen) decided that since I had testosterone in my hormone cream, that she no longer wanted to do these treatments on me, citing that I would tell people that the treatments failed. She said she would put the rest of the monies on account and that once I dropped the testosterone from my hormone cream we would continue. Please note on that the 3rd trip, she DID NOT and WOULD NOT ( even though I practically begged) continue with the treatments. That means I received 2 out of the 5 treatments, wasting gas money getting up there for the 3rd. I called back to advise that I was not going to drop the testosterone from my cream and wanted a refund of the other 3 treatments I had paid for but could not receive. The last I heard from them was on June 17th. She had said that the 5th treatment was free (though there is NOTHING on this page I have that indicates that). I asked that they send my money back since we are at an impasse and I have seen nothing. She needs to return my money since she wont treat me. Since she only did two of the treatments, she owes me $93.60. I asked for the money back and my request was ignored. I logged a case with the BBB, that too was ignored.

Dr. Erika got me through covid with the highest level of professionalism, genuine care for my wellbeing, and amazing advice that kept me out of the hospital during the scariest sickness of my life. I would recommend her a thousand times over, the level of care I received was unmatched by any medical professional I have encountered so far. It is clear that this is somebody who clearly was cut out to be in the medical field, she focused in on my specific symptoms and truly gave thorough treatment advice and options based on my personal experience, instead of an umbrella type of care seen most of the time in medical situations. 10/10 doctor

Dr. Erika Sykes-McKeen provided the most comprehensive medical care with proper testing, IV infusion to do immediate correction, proper prescriptions, frequent visits until the diagnosis was pinpointed. She didn't rush to a diagnosis. Instead, she did the proper level of testing for other potential root causes before diagnosing. I've had these symptoms for years and only Dr. Erika had the wisdom intelligence, patience and experience to uncover the real issue with my health. I'm so very grateful to her.

I cannot recommend Dr. McKeen (Dr. Erika) at Arizona Medical at all. She did an incomplete and asymmetrical job and then tried to require me to come back in and pay extra in order to fix her mistakes. Since Dr. Erika was unwilling to act in a professional and honest manner around this issue, I am forced to write a bad Yelp review.This is what happened to me:1) Before we began, I told Dr. Erika what my budget was. I made it clear that I had a specific budget and that, because I live out of state, I would not be able to return for more work.2) We came to an agreement as to what procedures I would receive and the costs involved. 3) She at no time told me that she may need to do additional work later "after the swelling went down". Since I live out of state, I would not have agreed to those conditions.4) Dr. Erika injected a number of lines above the upper lip. She then told me that the work we had agreed upon was complete and that there was extra product in the syringe. With the extra product, she injected the vermilion border. I left understanding that the procedure had been completed.5) I returned home and after a few days the swelling had gone down. I could then see that the procedure was done incompletely and asymmetrically, leaving me looking seriously worse than when I went in. Although she had told me that she had completed my upper lip lines and that there was extra product remaining, she failed to fill two deep lines running upwards from the lip. I was also left with a lopsided upper lip from the injection in the vermilion border.5) I brought this up to her and she changed her story, saying that "There were a few lines remaining as we ran out of filler" and that I should have known that she might need to do more work "after the swelling went down". 6) Dr. Erika then told me that I needed to come in and pay an additional $319 to complete the procedure, even though at the time of our appointment she told me that she had completed the upper lip with extra product remaining in the syringe.7) I am now stuck with an embarrassing and shameful mess of a mouth. I am embarrassed around my family and in public. I have to cover my mouth with my hand to hide it. I will have to have the procedure repaired at my own additional expense.8) I told her that I cannot fly back to Phoenix for another appointment nor to pay another $319 out of pocket to repair the mistakes she made. I asked for a refund on this botched procedure or at least for her to help me pay to get it repaired in my home state. 9) She refused any solution other than my paying her more money. She laid the blame on me telling me that I should have known that I would need to come back for more work. She also insulted me by accusing me of simply attempting to get a free procedure.Given the shoddy work, the poor communication, her attempt to get more money from me than we had agreed upon and her insult to my integrity, I cannot recommend Dr. Erika.
