Emerald failed to bill my insurance Company. I have carried medical insurance for over 40yrs through my same employer. The hospital and Drs. Correctly billed my insurance but the Anethesiologist failed to do so, although my insurance information was given at patient registration. Emerald said they showed no insurance. I have called Emerald several times. The last time I called, i was told it is probably too late to try to bill my insurance, but they would check and get back to me, which they did not. This item shows on my credit as an unpaid debt, and I'm told the only way to have it removed is to pay the full amount. I refuse to do this since I pay for insurance and was covered.
