Said if I'm making an insurance claim he isn't interested so I explained I would be paying cash and then reimbursed from insurance but he told me that's not how it works so I guess ME TELLING HIM IM PAYING CASH isn't worth his time. Must be that free government money that keeps people from wanting to work I guess.

Mark and his team did an amazing job on our kitchen remodel. Our 1928 adobe home came with lots of challenges and together we were able to create the kitchen of my dreams. Mark communicated with me frequently and clearly. I was always able to reach him and got quick responses back to questions. He had his eye on our budget at all times and there were no surprises. Our house was completely destroyed on the inside due to a pipe burst over 4th of July weekend. We are a young family and have never had to deal with anything like this. I was calling EVERYWHERE and was not getting a call back. In fact, people were turning us away. I went to the Better Business Bureau and I found Mark Steven Construction. I called and left a message, and Mark himself contacted me back straight away. Off the bat he was extremely communicative and honest. Aside from insurance related repairs (which was truly gutting the whole interior) he also helped us with some upgrades we decided to do at the same time. I found it invaluable that never at any point did we feel taken advantage of during a very hard time. In fact, Mark gave us great advice on how to save and reassured me through the whole process. He took our ideas, and often made them better. If there was something structurally that couldn't be done without a high ticket price, he offered reasonable alternatives. From putting in a doggy door to going out of his way to find us a fabricator to get our granite in on time (during a pandemic!) he was great. I'm sure he has my name in his phone as "lady who texts a lot" and not once did he every get bothered by my questions. While he does not exclusively work on insurance claims, it's worth noting he has tons of knowledge on them as well and helped us understand that process. His team members were extremely polite and always greeted me with a smile and an update if I popped into the house. I trusted them all completely with our space. We are so happy that we found Mark Steven Construction, and without hesitation will tell others to use his business as well! I can’t say enough about my experience with Mark and his employees! He went above and beyond my expectations during the entire remodel. Mark’s employees were so incredibly courteous and professional; they even brought in my trash cans every week! My house was swept and vacuumed every night before they left. Mark was so concerned about my puppy being in the house when the tile was removed he took her to his home for the day! Sam and Xavier absolutely loved my dog and took time from their day to help me cut Jasmines nails! Further, no matter how many change orders I made during construction Mark made the time during his day to run over and talk with me about my wishes. If you are looking for a remodel job to go smoothly and timely you must hire Mark Stevens Construction! My project is broken down into two phases for my convenience which was completely accommodated by Mark. Finally, if you want to see his outstanding work I am happy to open my home for viewing! Our experience with Mark Steven Construction was excellent. We shopped a few contractors for quotes on our project. Mark stood out from the very first phone call. After our first meeting with him none of the other contractors were even a consideration. Mark is professional but fun loving. He is totally transparent with cost and what to expect throughout the process. They closed in our formal dining room and converted it to a bedroom for my daughter. It turned out beautiful, exactly what we'd hoped for. I think we were probably overall a smaller project for them, yet we were given all the respect of a more lucrative client. Everyone who worked on our house was pleasant. I felt comfortable 100% of the time that they were in my home. Special thanks to Sammy and Javier.
