Doctor support and fitting was excellent. Experience with the front desk and central answering service is discouraging; walk ins are definitely feasible but the info on a one hour insurance verification plus 45 minute provider wait created unnecessary anxiety. Possibly this discouragement results in only six patients seen by 2 pm, on a Monday (may want to shield sign in names for HIPAA.) I would recommend to the office management to compare their service to other medical suppliers; I was on the phone scheduling PT services this afternoon and it was a great experience, which took minutes.

My wife, Linda, needed a shoe to support her ankle, Jim made that experience very quick and easy. I was glad our Doctor recommended Hanger. Just saw the show about Abe Lincoln and the Civil War. It was James E. Hanger who lost his leg and created modern day prosthetics!

I have a job where I am on my feet all day. I was having difficulties with constant pain in my feet, found out I have x2 conditions going on with them. I was referred to a podiatrist. He didn't give me much to go on, sent me off to The Hangar Clinic. They were very kind, took the time to talk with me, very informative and I purchased orthodic inserts for my shoes. What an amazing difference after just 2 days of wearing them. They were very affordable as well. I would highly recommend them!

I made an appointment to get a new compression sleeve because my old one had worn out and my arm started to feel pain that would not subside. Hanger forced me to get a prescription for the sleeve which my Doctor quickly accommodated. But when I got to the Hanger location on Alma School and Southern I was told that they did not have the sleeve size that I needed in stock. So they had me make the trip down there for nothing and did not take a moment to see if they had what I needed in stock once they received my Rx. They now say it will be a week until I receive my sleeve and I should make another appointment to pick it up. Meanwhile I am sitting here with my arm in constant pain. Thanks, Hanger.

I have the hardest time getting the correct items ordered in a timely manner. My doctor will send over a specific prescription, and I'll both call and fax to confirm an exact brand/style/color/size/quantity is ordered, but they still order the wrong kind or quantity. That is if they even order it, on several occasions I've called in for a refill and a month later am accused of never having reordered. I'll call again the day before my appointment to make sure they have what I need and they always say yes, but when I arrive at my appointment they have the wrong product or quantity every time. They've even claimed, after confirming receipt of my prescription, that they never got a prescription for me, only to mysteriously find it again and further delay things. This last time in a single call they claimed the doctor didn't put what brand or type, only seconds later to tell me it is in fact written on the order. The new division of their clinic with the "walk shop" has made it even worse. Update 6/30/2020: Hanger called because my order was in. They ordered the wrong style and quantity yet again. All this despite my doctor's order, me calling (3 times), emailing & faxing to confirm brand, size, style & quantity 2 months ago. I was able to pick up part of the corrected order in 9/2020, but they never corrected the quantity and I gave up. Update 9/29/2020: I had an appointment scheduled last week, which had been made by phone a couple of weeks prior. I was on a time crunch so it was carefully planned. I arrived and they told me I never made an appointment, because they never make appointments unless they have the items in the office. Hilda argued with me saying it was impossible for me to have made an appointment. Hanger didn't have the items in yet, and said they'd call me when they're in. Again I confirmed the quantity on order. Today Hilda calls me that my item, singular, is in. I corrected her that it should be quantity 2, and Hilda makes multiple excuses why it's not 2 - the doctor's order is only for 1 (called my doctor and they confirmed it was written for bilateral meaning 2), I've never ordered 2 before (completely false), my insurance only covers 1 (completely false). I called Hilda back to tell her I called the doctor and confirmed it was written for bilateral, and she said she never got a prescription from the doctor. Now I'm waiting on a callback after having the doctor refax it so I can get my correct items.
