I have known the owner Kevin Nacinovich for a very long time and I have trusted him exclusively with my auto repair needs for years. His shop, "Tin Shed Auto" is still open for business at a the location of 75th Ave. & Grand Ave./Dunlap Ave. intersection...south of Dunlap/Grand, east of 75th Ave. in a gated outdoor shop. Recently he has not honored the warranty on parts previously installed, over charged me according to the standard labor rate and violated my trust through verbal deception and in addition while completing the alternator replacement of the previous alternator he replaced, his assistant Alex crushed the wiring harness between the alternators heat shield and the engine block which created an electrical short which is why when I picked up my vehicle I drove 21 miles before the car died in a store parking lot. I called him and let him know the car had a problem, he informed me he would stop by after work the next evening or in the morning on the way to work to take a look and see what was going on. He did not stop by, he did not call and when I called him there was no answer and no option to leave a message. I went to his shop, he was not there. I asked his assistant if he could ask Kevin to call me... no call! I thought he was not only my trusted mechanic but my trusted friend. Kevin left me stranded after he charged me $285 with out honoring the previous parts warranty. I am pretty confident the company he purchased the part from did honor the warranty because of the standard practice between mechanics and their suppliers. Honorable business practices ensure continued success for all parties involved. Kevin left me hanging in the end with a life lesson I paid for! My new mechanic repaired Kevin's faulty work and demonstrated true integrity and extremely fair pricing! Now I need to decide whether or not to sue my former friend or realize that trust, honor and integrity can be rescinded much quicker than it is earned depending on ones motivations and choices!
