I placed an order with Porter Electronics for a VCR as my elderly mother wanted to view old family movies. Unfortunately, her health went down shortly after I received and she was unable to watch the movies. I contacted Porter Electronics and they were kind enough to issue a refund. I definitely recommend this business and if I ever need anything in the future, I will order from them.

I bought a refurbished camera for my niece from Porter Electronics. She had picked it out online, knew the exact camera she wanted, and I bought it directly from the site. It was shipped very quickly and securely, and my niece loves it!

After speaking with someone from this company they encouraged me to buy a specific film projector so I could digitize some old, family home movies. The offered Amazon Pay, so I assumed that I would be afforded the same customer service that Amazon provides.Unfortunately, the machine I received was the wrong model. When I called to swap for the correct machine, I was told that I had to return the projector at my own cost!After a couple of correspondences, I gave up. They were rude and curt with me, even though I just wanted the machine that I was looking for.The last straw was when Ben Porter finally responded to me he said there was no way that they would pay for me returning the wrong machine but they would "evenly" swap the machine they sent with the correct one...even though the correct one was $50 cheaper!Maybe this company has a good reputation locally but as a national distributor, they are horrible!
