Words can't even begin to describe our adventure that we had. Our guied tour was simply breath taking and probably one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had. We have never been snowmobiling, we have never been on a glacier. These guys know thier stuff, made us comfortable, warm, we're knowledgeable, fun and made a memory for a lifetime. Thank you soooooo much!

This will forever be the coolest trip my husband and I have taken together. We did the winter snow machine multi-day option and spent two days out on the trails. The first day, we rode to the Knik Glacier. I loved the stunning, open landscape. The second day, we rode more technical trails from the Puriton Creek Trailhead. My husband's heart was full, as these are his favorite types of trails. Again, the views were beyond outstanding. Both days we saw plenty of wildlife. Dan was our guide and took pictures and video throughout both days that we will forever cherish. There was no way we could have documented the trip this way ourselves. Dan was a wonderful guide with his warm, patient, humble demeanor. He is a wealth of knowledge on the area and great fun to chat with. Prior to planning this trip, I explored MANY outfits in several different states that strived to provide adventures on snow machines. Alaska Backcountry Adventure Tours provided the most authentic experience. This was key for us. They also were most professional in planning (thank you Mattie), which increased my confidence. My husband and I have adventured in Alaska winters before and thought we had the right gear. We ended up swapping much of what we brought in outerwear for the high-quality, good-looking gear Alaska Backcountry provided. They also keep new machines that are well-maintained. I loved the heated grips! We expected we could be a little chilly on our rides but never were. Overall, I cannot recommend this trip enough. We planned this trip six months in advance and had plenty of time to build up our expectations. It far exceeded anything we could've hoped for. When Mattie tells you she's got accommodations, food, clothing, and adventure covered, she means it. This trip was perfection. I'm already looking at their summer trips and definitely want to try the 5-day winter trip.
