We had Shane install a new HVAC system on July 3rd of 2019. (Air handler and lines were not installed.) Fast forward to 2022 and we’ve had to add coolant in April and a couple days ago in July. The unit currently will not go below 77°, and the A-coils keep freezing.When the unit was installed, the only thing I was given was the bill of sale showing “paid in fullâ€. No other paperwork. We were told that HIS COMPANY WOULD REGISTER THE UNIT WITH ANANA (who requires it within 60 days). We still have texts showing where we sent him an email address which he requested for the registration on July 15th, 2019. Nothing was ever provided to us. We tried calling and was always given a runaround.Entering the serial number on Amana’s website says Shane NEVER registered the unit!Apparently, the company has been closed since sometime in 2021 (the last Facebook post from a customer I could find was May ‘21). We found out in April when we needed coolant.We now only have the basic 5yr warranty and at this point it is down to 2 years because SHANE PROCTOR DID NOT DO WHAT HE SAID HE WOULD DO.Amana also offers more than just the usual “10yr warrantyâ€: “To receive the Lifetime Unit Replacement Limited Warranty, Lifetime Compressor Limited Warranty, Lifetime Heat Exchanger Limited Warranty (in each case, good for as long as you own your home), and the 10-Year Parts Limited Warranty, online registration must be completed within 60 days of installation.“This is what he screwed us out of.
