I don't feel like I am getting what I pay for. The premise for paying a HOA fee is to keep the neighborhood up. In turn, keep the property values up. I constantly see violations and no one is even checking anymore. Basic violations. For the amount we pay, this should not happen.

Spaces has been a disaster from the very beginning. They stepped in a year after we moved into our "Under Development" Neighborhood in Wetumpka, AL. We literally had people sell and relocate after 6 months or less. We have had 1 neighborhood meeting and several unresolved issues. As a whole, our neighborhood wants them GONE. It starts with petty letters over garbage can placement to private play sets in the back yard surrounded by a privacy fence. Door colors on homes that were done by the builders prior to the home being purchased, high fee's for poorly maintained front entrance. A sprinkler system that waters the entrance Rocks/main road and not the grass. We have no neighborhood cameras, pool, clubhouse, playground, security gates, horrible street lights, limits on patio and lawn decor, and increased the dues that double what we initially paid and NOTHING to show for it. If I could give zero stars I would.

I've lived in many neighborhoods with HOAs and Spaces Management is by far the worst. They have no interest in making the neighborhood a better or cleaner place. They are only interested in what will provide them revenue. I live in The Village at Oakland Springs where trash blows throughout the streets, screws and nails litter the ground, and street lights are bent or knocked over and present unsafe areas to drive or walk in at night. Spaces allows the builders and subcontractors to get away with destroying the neighborhood because there's no revenue stream for them to take any time and enforce the rules against the builders. But when it comes to homeowners it's a different story. Is your garage left open while you're doing yard work? They'll fine you for that. Did you leave your bucket on the driveway after washing your car? You'll get fined. Dirt on your driveway because the street sweeper only makes a visit once every few months? You'll get fined. As for where the fines go once they're collected? No one knows. They won't tell us. The many different builders in the neighborhood have constantly made a mess yet we're expected to drive through mud and garbage to get to our houses only for Spaces to ignore any pleas for help. Don't try to call them about a problem. They won't return your call. After all, that call doesn't make them any money.

Avoid any Spaces Management property at all costs. They will gouge you for every hidden fee and unreasonable charge they possibly can.
