Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

My family and I would like to formally thank the entire care team at The Summit at Mitchell Hollingsworth. A month ago my dad had a stroke and was sent to their facility for rehabilitation. His stay started rocky because of a lack of information that was sent to them from the hospital. Although the night staff was blindsided by the condition in which he was coming to them, they rose to the occasion and went into action to care for his needs. Shai the night charge nurse and the techs working with her were all very nice, professional and caring! The day charge nurses, Amanda, Cassie, the CNAs, techs and therapist of which I am sorry that I shamefully do not know by their names, were wonderful in their care of my dad (some very outstanding) and very accommodating to my mom and family during his stay! He went to them not talking, not able to assist in dressing and not able to walk with a walker or with assistance and he left them able to do all of those things! We were very pleased with his therapist and their tenacity to hang in there with him even when he did not really want the therapy, now he is thankful for it! We appreciate Carolyn, head of housekeeping for making sure that the room was always cleaned! We mention last, but certainly not least, the wonderful Case Management team. They were absolutely awesome! Janet and Paula exhibited some of the most caring compassionate assistance that we could have hoped for! They both made us feel welcomed and comfortable to contact them at any time with any question or concern. They always had answers and if they did not, they found them. They counteracted the insurance to ensure that he had adequate time for rehabilitation. Janet really became near and dear to my family’s heart by her loving, warm, kind and humble spirit! She constantly allayed our anxiety and patiently explained everything. We will never forget all that she and the entire care team at Mitchell did for my dad and the humanity that was displayed to our hands on family! Their job is one of difficulty, they care for their sick patients and work well with their patient’s anxious family members. So often, we misunderstand and under-appreciate their plight! Our experience was a positive one! They exhibited the quality affectionately termed, the “Golden Rule” and they did to us as they want done to them or their families (Matthew 7:12)! The rehab department was excellent. They treated me with the utmost respect and encouraged me every step of the way. Not only did they help me recover, but I feel like I made some great friends. The food was really good, rooms were cleaned everyday, and the staff were all very nice. Even though they were short staffed, I felt like they did everything they could to take care of my needs.

Our dad was at Mitchell Hollingsworth for 7 months before he passed. The nurses and staff and Dr Anjum were so caring and compassionate to him. He last few months were harder with him having dementia. They were always so kind to him and our family during these difficult times. The care he received was greatly appreciated.

Mitchell Hollingsworth is a very nice clean spacious facility. They staff members have always been so friendly and polite to us. They have an exellent rehab department. The wound care nurse does an amazing job. The food they have at mitchell Hollingsworth really good.

My grandmother was a rehab patient multiple times and always recieved great care from the nursing staff and rehab. She enjoyed the food and snacks. Her room was always clean and smelled nice. She liked that the facility offered lots of great activities to keep the patients and residents happy. The cases managers on rehab were very helpful in getting her transitioned back home.
