Arionna stopped by today (9/10/2021) per my maintenance request and did a great and fast job switching out my non-functioning dishwasher for a new one! Awesome work!

I moved in about a year and a half ago and thank god my current lease is almost up. Keep in mind this was my first rental. My first 2 months in this place I had some wasps that would come into my apartment. I called maintenance about it and was told that they don’t do pest control. I let it go because as it got cooler I didn’t have any more wasps come in. This summer the wasps got REALLY bad, I’m talking 2 a day at least. I decided to try my luck again with maintenance, I’m not sure if the girl I talked to a year prior just had no idea what problems they would take care of but insect control actually is one of them. I was told that they would send someone out… one week later I still hadn’t heard anything. It took 4 phone calls and 2 weeks to get a exterminator out. I have wasp hives in 4 out of my 5 vents because I only have two covers on my vents on the roof, and those covers weren’t even strapped down! As the exterminator was spraying it sounded like my walls were vibrating from the sound of the buzzing. Then wasps were falling from my vents! It’s obvious Tucson rentals doesn’t care about the well being of their tenants and for how expensive rent is you think they would. They are lucky that I’m not allergic to wasps because I did get stung.

I can't wait until my lease ends.
1. I've had maintenance here for the same issue several times in the past six months - water coming out from under the kitchen sink and flooding the kitchen floor, now the sheetrock is rotten. Maintenance sent a plumber who said that the pipes were originally installed backwards and hence, only mayor plumbing entailing tearing down the wall would repair the issue. Meanwhile, the stink of rotten sheetrock is getting worse. No one forewarned me before moving here.
2. In addition, I have found little roaches in the dishwasher (rusted dishwasher) - I hardly ever use it since I hardly ever cook. My place is clean, because I clean it and I also have a cleaning lady. I am OCD when it comes to cleaning. So, it's not me - it's this place!!!
3. The decorative widows above the ledge are nasty looking- maintenance didn't bother cleaning them before I moved in. They say the windows have a protective coating that's peeling and they can't do anything about that. Really?? can't do anything about it??? All these windows do is bring in more heat.
4. No storage space. I have to pay for a storage unit.
5. Appliances are cheap. Washing machine destroys clothing and towels, they get stuck in the column.
6. I smell mold but, not sure where the smell is coming from.
7. Since I've been here my chest is congested - maybe the mold.
8. The bedroom AC vent is located on the wall aiming right at the bed. Can't change the bed orientation because of the odd sized walls so you get AC air that does NOT cool the casita right on your face. You have to see to understand. The electric bill is very high because of the high vents - it was so hot today that I moved my AC setting from 76 to 73 for an hour and it still didn't cool the casita. See photo.
9. Front door has scratches and dents - was told that it's normal wear and tear. Well, why can't they change the ghastly door. Plus, there's a big gap between door and frame that allows insects in.
10. This place does not merit one star much less five. Of course, unless the tenants giving this place five stars have moved from a worse dump.
I am embarrassed to have friends and family visit. I did not notice all these issues until after I moved in. No one forewarned me and I moved here during peak season, I couldn't find anything else to rent. I am not being negative, I am just telling it like it is!
