Our family has had a great experience getting ahead on math with Ms. Gloria and her team. Both my son and my daughter have been doing math at this Kumon for several years now.  Ms. Gloria is so sweet and friendly...she's really great with the kids! At the end of this school year, my son came home from school waving his standardized test scores in the air and his hands were shaking with excitement to show me his math results!  He scored in the 90th percentile for his grade (5th) and it said that his math skills were at the level of an average 8th grader.  Seeing how happy he was with his math results was priceless...and then he agreed that he will stick with Kumon as long as possible! The other thing that I really appreciate is that he has the ability to do his math sessions at home through zoom.  While it's probably better when he actually goes into the center, I really appreciate the flexibility to do remote sessions, especially during the COVID years and when we need to travel for long periods of time.

When I write this review, I am so excited . I am proud of my nephew Tong and also proud of Ms Gloria. If she hadn't admitted Tong last September, his grades in all subjects would have been D or F. I have great confidence in Teacher Gloria Yang, but I didn't expect her to be so good.In just 4 months, my nephew's English has improved so much. In fact, before we met Gloria, my whole family was desperate because my younger sister and her son Tong are new immigrants, and they are a single-parent family. They couldn't speak any English at all. Tong was already in 5th grade, and he only knew that he was very nervous and told everyone, "I'm sorry, I don't know English." He was also very low self-esteem, and his mother was very sad. Tong needed to see psychologist every month . Later, we tried to find various ways to learn English in the past one year, but Tong could only speak a few words still . There was nothing we could do about it. I talked with Gloria about this situation by chance. Gloria shared a lot of her experiences. I suddenly felt  that the hope came back, but she did not promise that she would accept him immediately. Tong had to go through an exam and an interview. She needed to know what level Tong is,and whether he has a strong will to learn English in long term. After that, everything went smoothly. Tong was in the very basic level. In order to made Tong felt better in the basic level, she made a lot of efforts. , We really want to thank Gloria for her great job . When my sister saw the school's announcement of Tong's grades turning into A or B, my sister cried. I think most new immigrants should Know the feeling.... We are very lucky to meet Ms Gloria Yang, Tong will continue to learn, if you have the same problem as us, no matter what subject, try to contact This center immediately , she is really amazing, you won't be disappointed!!!

I brought my son in because he was behind in his school and the school teacher suggested we look for additional support for my son. I did some resources about Kumon and decided to give it a try for the one that is close to our house. The instructor-Gloria explained to us where my son should start and how long it is going to take for him to catch up to his current grade level. To be honest, I wasnt happy at first because my son has to start at a basic level, but I also knew he needed that fundamental support after I realized he was still using his fingers to do his addiction as 4th grader. Enrolling in Kumon for almost 4 months now, and I can tell my son is getting faster on the basic calculation, but more importantly, is his confidence and his learning attitude. He used to drag his feet to do the work and constantly complained how bad his math is at school. As far as we enroll him in Kumon, we hear less complaints and he is willing to do the daily Kumon assignment without any fights. That is already a blessing for us as parents. Ms. Gloria is a very communicative person; she checks in with us from time to time and sees if my son experiences any difficulties doing the Kumon work at home and reports to us monthly how my son is progressing so far. One strict rule to follow in her center is that She doesnt answer any phone calls during the class time, you can only text or leave a voicemail to the center number. I guess it makes sense that her primary focus should be the students, instead of answering the phone calls while instructing. That is our experience so far and will continue to update how it goes.
