Horrible transfer experience. During a transfer - wear and tear items are considered damages, liability potential in the thousands of dollars.
VM also wants the money up front, before the work is performed, not even sure how this is possible as contractors don't charge until the work is complete.
When we attempted to cancel the transfer and remain in our originally agreed upom lease, VM informed us they had already leased out apartment, and tried to strong arm us in to paying the damages.
Now we're still on the hook for over $1000.
Whatever they tell you, get it in writing, be prepared to go to court if VM tries to pull a fast one.

I recently sent a CONFIDENTiAL letter to Mr Rick Oddo. I feel it never reach his desk! Very disappointing as he once told the residents of Aspen Ridge that he had an open door policy. Residents here appreciate that Oddo manages our apartment building but the communication from the Aspen Staff and the Oddo staff, certainly is not a strong attribute.
