My mother has lived in this complex for 3 years...In that time, management has become a joke. Locked office doors, residents can't sit in lobby area, maintenance is non existent. She's had a-clogged sink for 2 weeks, light bulb outside door out for months..., screen on patio is broken as well...Trash removal is-a joke, with a volunteer resident removing all trash for residents on either Thursday or Sunday...so they have to keep bags in their apartment till then if they can't walk to the dumpster. Movie theater hasn't been operational since before covid...Furnace filter not changed in forever, dishwasher is the worst and doesn't clean. Thinking it's about time to find a new home for her.

No maintenance staff. Have not had hot water for four days now and the office never gets back to me. They said someone from another property was coming yesterday but never showed up. They lied.

So very disappointed I thought they were helping me and I had to go extra miles. Ladies was lovely but still hurt. I was promised I would get into a apartment I have been calling the mailbox is full. Why promise someone you will have a apartment I sign all my paperwork never return. I call again on 5/2/23 so this edit.

I would NOT recommend this apartment complex to anyone. A new tenant was recently told by staff before she signed her lease that an apartment vehicle was available to take her to Kroger. Not so -- the bus hasn't been used in years!! She was also told a 1 bedroom apartment was available for her -- no so. When she moved in, all that was available was a 2 bedroom apartment. The doors to office manager are locked, no one is able to speak with staff unless you have an appointment. And you're fortunate if someone calls you back to schedule an appointment. The stairwells and hallways to outer doors are filthy. Maintenance is a joke, despite Randi saying they have traveling maintenance workers. Management/Kittle have done their best to make the complex look nice from the outside, but it's a farce. Kittle and staff have no good conscience when it comes to "selling" their apartments to potential tenants. Shame on you.

After living here another year since my last review there are only two or three good things I can say about Nora Commons. 1. There are plenty of activities if you are so inclined. 2. There are in-apartment W/D hookups and walk-in showers, both a plus compared to many other places. 3. Our Activities Director, Mary London, is a phenomenal human being, the one person here who truly cares about us. She tries her best to help us with our problems but in many cases her hands are tied. She does the work of three people. As for the negatives: 1. My screen windows that were defective or damaged over a year ago still have not been fixed/replaced. 2. Residents have been banned from sitting in the lobby to visit with each other or wait for the mail. 3. Locked entry is a joke when doors are left propped open so that anyone can come in--not safe at all. 4. Strangers have been found wandering the building, knocking on doors, even sleeping on furniture in public areas. 5. Dogs are frequently causing messes in corridors and elevators, owners not cleaning up, threatened with fines or evictions that seldom happen. 6. Maintenance has become almost non-existent--one person to handle 200+ residents' work orders. Maybe Mr. Kittle needs to dig into his deep pockets to pay staff a living wage. 7. Several predatory companies have set up shop for an afternoon or two in our cafe with the purpose of scamming our senior residents out of their often meager savings, offering cheap trinkets and empty promises in exchange for life insurance policies, prescription plans, free cell phones, and more. They mislead and lie in order to sign people up, with Nora Commons management's blessings. I could go on but why belabor the point? The point being, Nora Commons on the Monon, once a great place, has sadly regressed further and further.
