I wish we had never signed up with ADT. Their service is horrible, unclear charges, unwillingness to help or hold their team accountable, and the list goes on. Everyone from the top down in Huntsville, AL, is incorrectly operating and the sales, support, and management teams should all be ashamed.

I purchased a house in late February and ADT have come to my door 5 times trying to sell their services. Every time theyve attended, theyve asked if I was aware I was enrolled in some new homeowners program (that I was NEVER enrolled in) as a way of insinuating, I guess, that their attendance was my fault
The first time they showed up, I was in the middle of a work meeting and politely asked them to leave and assured them that I wasnt interested.
After the sales rep came a second time on that SAME day, I purchased a, No Soliciting sign that they have ignored three times to date.
On two occasions their sales rep has shown up at 8pm and 8:30pm, waking up my baby by ringing my doorbell.
Ive declined their service each time they have shown up unannounced, but so far, it seems the message hasnt gotten through (most recent attendance was this past Friday morning).
I would NEVER purchase home security through ADT simply because of their sales tactics. Showing up at 8:30pm is bordering on harassment.

BEWARE!! Read their contract
After moving to a new property ADT sales reps came to our house within a week and presented us with a package for home security. We appreciated this at first because we were wanting to get a home security package but were busy unpacking. The package was to include free equipment; however, when the installer came to our house he put intense pressure on me to purchase more equipment to protect the windows in my childrens rooms. You see he chose to install the free equipment on the living and dining room windows first. I assume this is a reoccurring sales tactic and after several awkward presses to purchase more equipment I asked him to finish what he was originally supposed to do and to stop pressuring me. After this lengthy awkward process, I signed the contract to get him out of my house and just wanted to move on. I paid for the first year up front and so when the next year came around they asked for me to put a credit card on profile. I then realized how much they were charging me per month for their services and thought it was way too high and asked for a reduced package if they had one. They told me it would require me signing a new contract. I didnt want to do this so I asked about the contract I was under. It was then that I realized it was a 3 year contract at that rate and when I asked to get out of the contract they said I would have to pay 75%. I was frustrated and explained the way the whole contract signing occurred and hoped for some sympathy but instead was met with no solution just told to put a card on file. I explained my financial situation has changed and would need to reduce the bill if at all possible, again to no avail. I got busy with work/life and never gave a credit card to go on file and was then called and told my services were cancelled and the 75% was due immediately. This was even more frustrating as I asked if instead I could add the card to the profile and make monthly payments as this was more feasible then a bill over $1000! I was told no, I would need to sign a new 3 year contract. Unbelievable! I asked about the equipment if I could still use it and they said no it wont work without their monitoringthey thought of everything.
I say all this to say beware!

I have been dealing with adt for about 5 years now and when I asked them to move my service they ask like they cant and lied and gave me the run I suggest you find another alarm company

i would like to know how your supposed to get your equipment fixed? had camera's installed 2 months ago and it has been broke now for about a month and a half. then got $204 dollars taken out of my checking account that so far have not got refunded. so as of right now adt is not worth getting.
